OMG...It's Friday!

It's Friday already!?!

Time flies so fast...I need more than 24 hours a day...and I need that pill that would allow me to be up for 4 days. I have been so busy for the past weeks yet I try to make sure to visit this place and take few minutes break. I have never been so tired and tense and sick in my life...yet I don't think I would also want it any other way. Life is so highly dynamic and complicated...and I am! :)

So I'm here with Friday Fill-Ins...

1. Finally, I am able to smile despite the hectic schedule.



2. This new role sure takes some getting used to!


3. Dad says: he will always be with us.
He passed away last December and I miss him so much...


4. Yummy is my favorite nick name for the IT Guy.


5. It took a long time, but I'm slowly getting the grip.


6. This role I have has taken so much of me though I wouldn't have it any other way.


7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing all documentation I need for our PCI Audit, tomorrow my plans include having a good work session with my staff and Sunday, I want to attend to mass!

Keeping My Sanity

It's Friday and while I'm in love, I'm tired! 

I have not done anything for myself for months now...well except getting a haircut and finally buying some nice shampoo for me which cost me an arm and a leg. There are just a million things to do at the center and Monday we will be starting with our training with 160 people. I have a checklist that is constantly growing and it seems to me that I am not able to knock it down not even by 5%. Add to that the different crazy personalities and issues to be dealt with, both internal and external. What most people don't realize is that while I have the power to decide for the company (like it is my own, perhaps it is! :P) I have to do it in both tactical and strategic level. The former is easy...you can even do it out of impulse, but the latter requires wisdom and some level of sensitivity. 

Anyway I'm trying to keep my sanity up and one way of doing it which I have been successful for years now is to...BLOG! ;)

Here goes my Friday Fill-Ins for the week...and please excuse me because this will be really reflective of my mood today!

I was so early that I did not notice I signed and did the one for last week...but I'm not changing it anyway...it suits me!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to staying the center to make sure everything is covered especially for the IT side, tomorrow my plans include going to the wet market and buying seafood and Sunday, I want to get my nails done!

Breadful Friday

It's finally Friday and so many things to be grateful for this week. I am so happy with the progress of the training of my staff. This morning I went to Cimbali Bakeshop, courtesy of Doods and T@m. Boy, did I like their breads! 

My favorite so far is their cheese roll!I really LOVE it!

Today will be my last day here in Dumaguete. I'm going back to Bacolod tomorrow to help my boss with the center. I will back here next weekend to close the training. Just had a massage and will soon be packing my things to get ready for tomorrow. But well, I'm taking my break and eating some cheese roll and here is my Friday Fill-ins for this week.

Finally it's Friday! Not that I can rest this weekend...but well it's good to know that finally the week is ending and despite the busyness of my life I still make it here.

The Beginning of The New ME!

Yes...I'm a new person in some aspect. And my new mentor (the new boss) is reminding me of that everyday. I am the BOSS now and that I can do anything and everything to be successful and for "my center" to be successful. (I did mention I will be running a call center in another city, remember?) He always wanted me to think of it as my "center". By the way, the new boss, is one of the owners and I am so privileged and fortunate to be working with him and his family. 

Anyway I have been shopping for ISP and was setting meeting with different Telcos. Today we had our meeting with PLDT. I never expected it to be the VP of PLDT. So this is how it feels to be a VIP. I am beginning to like it and slowly it is getting to my head that I am now a different Mariposa in terms of work status and all. While I couldn't care less about status quo, it is also a fact (and my boss keeps emphasizing this) that work dynamics is totally different now. I have to learn and adjust with how I relate to people and I guess time for me to make adjustments as how lenient and understanding and approachable I am.

It's Friday and I had a hell of a week, all for good though. I have accomplished a lot of things this week and is slowly getting settled.

Tonight I have to rest and chill out...and right now to me that means to blog. =)

It's Friday!

This turns out to be a rather busy Friday and I did not even realize it 'til it's 4PM (Philippine Time). I had to meet my best friend at the mall, we had coffee, then I met the web developer, then had 2 other meetings after that.

Now I'm sitting here all by myself trying to sleep, few minutes back I was so ready to hit the sack but then I just lost it like that. The IT Guy is not feeling well and had to retire early.

Good thing I still have some things to do, here comes my Friday Fill-ins!

I have already tendered my resignation at work and will be officially free end of the month. WOOT! I have a lot of things in my plate for the new organization I'd be joining and since I just recovered from flu and asthma I'm just trying to take things easy.

Breaking The Silence

Hey!

Yes, I'm back. And I'm all good!

So many things happened the past weeks. Several typhoons hit the country and it affected so many people. Cebu is blessed...we only had heavy rains.

For those who emailed and called to check how I was, a million thanks! I am fine. In fact I never lost my internet connection. I am just so busy and I'm getting busier each day. Ha!

The Company I just moved to is into merger and we are expecting it to close within the next 60-90 days. And please...this is not a bad news...it's just a news. Business is as usual for us...and I'm slowly picking up my momentum...and part of it is spending long hours at work. When I get home I am either trying to unwind and get reconnected with people...or still doing some brainstorming for work.

I've been wanting to be busy...and well here it is. I'm not complaining...just explaining my absence here.

I want to believe I have weathered the storm in my schedule and hopefully I can now manage my time well and will make it here on a regular basis. I cannot discontinue this blog as this have become a part of me...and to lose this is like losing some of my senses. This blog brings out the craziness in me...and at the same time keeps my sanity. ;)

I'm typing this from the dining table...and while carrying a conversation with Mom and she just told me it's Friday already...and yeah it is! The week was just a whirlwind of things...not so nice...but well not enough to get discouraged. But what happened this week is for another post.

I'm still battling with asthma but my night was better as I was able to sleep well. It's 4AM here and I'm getting ready for my Bohol trip. Initially we were to leave midnight last night but Mom moved it because she feels I'm not that well yet. Anyhow, despite my condition I'm still going, I think it will do me good to see a different perspective right now. I need some fresh air and I miss Grandma...

As what I tried to spell out in my haiku above...my week just passed me by. Not sure if it was the busyness of the whole week that made me lost track of time or I just simply lost track of time. (((SIGH)))

A Long Short Week

It's Friday already! I did not even notice the week's ending...I was that busy. I feel it's a long week...considering the long list of things I did and short as well as it just seems to pass me by.

Work is very good...and it's been challenging. I am so happy to share with you my success in driving good numbers at work. I am so happy with the team I have...they're responsible and more than anything we are leading the race right now. One program used to be at the bottom when I joined and now it's leading. WOOT!

Anyway...here is my Friday Fill-ins take for this week.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I remember happy moments and long for them.

Flying Back To Cebu Now

It's 8:03 AM and I'm at the airport. My flight back to Cebu is at 9AM. My last night in Manila was the busiest I'd say.

I had an early meeting at around 7:30pm and got off almost 10...went to a friend's house and had a late dinner there. He was so kind to cook for me...and his kids...my god...they're all so beautiful, I fell in love with them right away.

While I whining with the fact that I missed buying Krispy Kreme doughnuts for my staff...he saved my day. He drove (well his driver) us to Fort and there, found the Krispy Kreme. The highlight was spending time with the kids...so so fun! Too bad his wife wasn't able to join us...but well it was still fun.

They drove me to the corporate office in Makati after and was supposed to go back for me...but the boss and I seem to have a good talk that they have to just go home. At 15 minutes to 7, I was still on my way to the hotel and had not packed my things yet. Anyway...I moved heaven and earth and here I am...way too early! LOL

I am so excited to be home and finally eat a real meal which just means anything that is cooked by my Mom. Well I had one last night too courtesy of a friend. ;)

Anyway just to fill-in my waiting time...here is my Friday Fill-Ins.
