To Love and Be Loved

LOVE is ...when you meet somebody better and you still stay with the person you promised to be with.

Yesterday I woke with these flowers delivered to my house, didn't expect for the IT Guy to bother since he was here over the weekend and being from another island can be quites a challenge to organize and sed something...specially that he has been quite busy the past weeks.

So I guess he loves me. He has stayed with my for 8 years now. Despite the person I am. With all my infirmities...and so forth.

Honey...words cannot express how grateful I am to have you with me. I look forward to each day because I know you are with me despite the distance. Thank you very much for everything and I love you!

My Time Alone

February is here and almost everybody's looking forward to Valentine's Day already, I know because I am. I always do, even during the time when I had nobody with me to celebrate it with (no counting the parents of course!). 

As hard for most people to believe, there were also times when Mariposa had to spend Valentine's Day all by herself and it wasn't bad at all! ;) In fact when I was single (not that I'm married now!) I was more eager in planning my Valentine's Day. Why? Simple, I don't have to consult or wait with anyone. I can simply do whatever I want. (Right now, I just have to wait and see what the IT Guy plans for us...shhh!) So for those single ladies out there, ha, you may want to know how I survived Valentine's Day alone. 

First of all, Valentine's Day for me is not just about lovers but its for friends too. So I had dinner with other single ladies. We dress pretty and go out! Then we rent a hotel room and spend the night there drinking champagne. But of course, prior to that we made sure we ordered some heart warming chocolates and candies to accompany us. Then we talk about just anything. We talk about the weather,, the devaluation of peso, how many kids we want to have, our best and worst dates and all other out of this world stuff. But of course, all those conversation were passionate and sweet because we had the champagne and the candies! LOL

Oh boy, how I miss those moments! How I miss those candies! And yes, the champagne too.

Planning Your Valentine's Day

It's now the end of the month and February is fast approaching...in a few days it will be Valentine's Day! As most of you know I am the hopeless romantic type dates like Valentine's Day though not all that matters to me, it certainly does matter to me. 

I remember my Pre-Valentine Escapade with the IT Guy two years ago. We went to Hong Kong, stayed in a very nice hotel, went around a bit to shop and more than anything we were able to spend time with each other. It was just so thoughtful of him to surprise me with a trip like that. It was so memorable! 

Of course with the length of time I have been with the IT Guy, truly we've had so many Valentine's Day spent together already, I would say all were fun and memorable and I always look forward to our next Valentine's together, like any lovers I guess. 

The thing though is well, not all ha enough cash to pull up a very good date. And no matter how simple we want to celebrate it, the fact that the whole world celebrates it tells us that nothing is just cheap on a Valentine's Day. So some people would opt to get some cash advance to make sure they have this special event covered.

I know this is rather late...but...well, here...LOVE is all around...everyday! ;)

Thanks to ALL who sends email, messages...flowers...and all! You have no idea how you made me smile...

My V Day...was well, just an ordinary day. Wait...no one's to be blame!

I've been battling with colds for the past days...and the IT Guy's brother has been in the hospital for weeks now...he has acute renal failure...and is undergoing hemodialysis while waiting for a kidney donor. Friday evening we got a call from the IT Guy's sister about his brother 'not being well'. It turns out he is going through depression...and possibly a some transient medical psychosis...so the IT Guy has to stay at the hospital the entire Friday evening...and called me up Saturday morning and he can't pick me up.

At first I was like...wow, I'm going home alone...on a V Day. Yet, to be honest, I can't think of anything that moment but to get sleep...because my colds killing me...

So, I spent my entire day in bed...and him at the hospital. I got up midnight of Saturday and Mom told me that he is home, and was resting in another room...I did not bother wake him up anyway. Sunday morning...seems better for both of us...and well, we did go out. We spent the entire day together...we dine out...watched Valkyrie and had dinner! It was wonderful.

I'm so wanting to make a movie review here...but my meds is not letting me stay longer...so I guess, that can wait.

Also, can anyone tell me who is hosting Fun Monday?! Looks like none has volunteered yet...I'd love to join fun again...well, found IT!

Good thing this is not too tough for me to do on a last minute...
