You On My Mind

Weekend just passed me by and it's Monday already! How could my week start without even knowing that the previous one ending?! Ha!

So much to do, so little time! So many things on my mind --- and what occupies the most is YOU.

I miss you...and I feel bad that we're not able to talk as often. I am hoping I'll make it to Cebu this coming weekend so we can spend time together. Yes, I've booked a flight and all...something is just telling me that is not 100% sure that I can go! Pfftt...

Anyway...let me tune up our Monday a  bit with Swing Out Sister's You On My Mind.

Happy Monday to all!

It's Thursdayrrific!

This week has just been too much for me to a point that I keep asking myself how come I am still able to keep my cool. It's just not so me!

I have an upcoming major job fair career fair this Saturday. This will be the Company's first and obviously this is something which cannot just go wrong. So you can just imagine how hectic my schedule is...add to that the fact that I have to interview 10-15 people a day to fill in my first team of supervisors and trainers, arrghhh! The boss is away and won't be back 'til the 10th, thus I am just overseeing everything! I've been working at minimum of 12 hours a day and even at home I still do conference calls.

I am not complaining. In fact it's amazing how I am still able to manage with everything...until today. Well not that I had a breakdown or something but just the day to say enough is enough. I visited the construction site and I was horrified when I saw what they were putting on the wall of one of the comfort rooms. It was just U.G.L.Y. Add to that the fact that it will just trap noise there and noise is just my number one enemy at the center. I called the building contractor/architect and all he can tell me was -- there was not specification and the contract says at minimum they just deliver toilets! Amazing. Just how exactly my week turning into something horrific just when I thought I am able to manage everything well. I don't even have to go through on other stuff which I am sure will keep me preoccupied for the next 2-3 hours when I could be in my bed having a good time with my pillow!

BUT then, Thursday of Mariposa will not end so bad. Just when I opened Facebook, a good friend of mine Marcel Nunis just posted a favorite song of mine. I end up singing it with my Mom and I am just so up and happy right now. Call it my pendulum moment but who cares? It's Thursday rrific for me...but no longer horrific, but a big terrific Thursday night!

Here is the video that made my day!

It's Friday!

This turns out to be a rather busy Friday and I did not even realize it 'til it's 4PM (Philippine Time). I had to meet my best friend at the mall, we had coffee, then I met the web developer, then had 2 other meetings after that.

Now I'm sitting here all by myself trying to sleep, few minutes back I was so ready to hit the sack but then I just lost it like that. The IT Guy is not feeling well and had to retire early.

Good thing I still have some things to do, here comes my Friday Fill-ins!

1. I know what I want.
2. The month you promise to visit when you didn't was the longest month.
3. You can't help but fall in love with me. (Bleh!)
4. To all detractors; bring it on!
5. Where have you looked when I am just here beside you all this time?
6. He is now available.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting more sleep, tomorrow my plans include visiting the Taoist Temple and Sunday, I want to bake more banana cakes

And before I go and visit others, let me share with you what I have been playing over and over for an hour now. Gosh, how could I blush listening to this! Well, what's new, it's Friday and I'm in love!

Happy Friday everyone!

A Fun Week!

It's 5AM here and it's a Monday!

Today is Eid ul-Fitr and is a holiday here. Not a manic Monday for me but I have to be at the office later around 9AM for some magazine interview...anyhow it feels good to be doing FUN MONDAY again!

Sayre Smiles is our lovely hostess this week and she said -- If you had a WEEK with no obligation and money was no object, what would you do with it?

Ha! This is FUN! Let's see --

It's a week...so I have 7 days...168 hours.

Day 1 - Will be my super lazy day. I'll be at the farm of my Grandparents watch sunrise sipping coffee...munching some toasted bread with strawberry jam! It will not end there of course as I plan to sit on my @$$ the whole day doing/thinking nothing but just listening to some nice country music. I'm going to spoil myself with lots of fruits especially watermelon. Then comes the sunset...and I'm going to enjoy the sunset sipping margarita! Then I'm going to meet silver moon...stare at it for awhile...and hopefully by then I've had enough margaritas that I'll just pass out...

Day 2 - I will be up feeling to refresh and alive...knowing I have nothing to do! I'm going to visit my farm...plow and harvest and fill it with buildings, fences, flowers, paths and other decorations. But of course, I'm talking about my Farmtown and Farmville accounts at Facebook! Day 2 will be about the Internet. I will blog...read blogs...and play!

Day 3 - I will be at one with sea. I will go island hopping....watch dolphins...do SCUBA diving and will enjoy the sun and the sands! I need lots of fresh orange juice for this...and watermelon too! In the evening I'm going to stay at the shoreline...stare at the bonfire...and will summon every person I wish to talk to 'til dusk. How cool!

Day 4 - Since there is no budget constraints...I'm going to have some shopping spree with families and friends. And since shopping can stressful too, we will have some nice time at the spa after.

Day 5 - This day will be with the IT Guy. (Just one day because I can't assume he has this super nice week with no obligation or anything...LOL) We'll go to places he wants us to go...do whatever he wants...in the evening, I'm going to luck myself with him all night!

Day 6 - This will be my fantasy day. I'm going to take a very important role in business or government and will have an office there for a day. I will end the day with a very nice champagne dinner with VIPs.

Day 7 - I will be very busy organizing a birthday party for a very good friend. I'm going to call all his friends and will give him a surprise party! We will be singing....dancing...eating...drinking...'til we drop!

Happy birthday Sage!

I wish you all the best....CHEERS!

Of Love and Marriage!

It's Monday morning here already...and I'm here back to doing my Busy Monday combining all three different memes making Mondays always Fun full of Music though sometimes Manic!

Fun Monday this week is hosted by Hoosier Girl of Coffee Table and her topic for this week is Love and Marriage. She said --

I have been married twice, once for 14 years, once for a year (long story, for those of you who don't know me). And now I am mid-40s, involved with a wonderful man, contemplating marriage for a third time. So what I want to know is: what do you consider important to a good marriage or relationship? Tell us a story of something endearing about your marriage or your parents' marriage. Include any wedding pictures or images of love that remind you of what a good relationship should be.

Well...I'm not married yet but soon to be! Sometimes I still sit and wonder what has made me finally say yes...when for more than half my life (I'm 29!) I never believed with it...yet I just have to mention here how blissful my parents' marriage is.

I have not much to share on the topic as I am still my way there yet allow me to share some of my tales of love...

I met the IT Guy in a business meeting about 7 years ago. It was on a Chinese New Year in an Italian restaurant. It Guy is very smart and for the record, unlike other engineers here he is quite conversational and can shift to different topics. He was 30 then and was single. Amazing to know that we have common friends which let us go out several night after that first meeting. One party we're together we got into this dare thing about sending flowers to men. No big deal for me I can send anything to anyone...was my statement. The next morning...he texted me something like...so where's my flowers?! I was like...oh my...did you dare me?! LOL

So I sent him 3 white roses that day...

Then a card the next day...

And some little something on each day that follows...

He was red at the office every morning! LOL Though we still get to see each other and talk on the phone this whole time he never told me to stop...

I almost got tired of it that after like 30 days I sent him a big card with all the receipts of the items I sent to him with a note saying I've spent so much already I need to collect!

Then I got a call from him and asked me if we can have dinner...sure thing we always go out with friends...then he said, not just us! I was like okay...will you pay me?! He just LOL

So there we are in that fancy restaurant having dinner...enjoying the chat and all. I almost forgot our little war joke when he got the bill and took his card and told me I'm paid!

I was like...oh my, the man of my dreams! LOL Honestly he got me there...rarely I met a guy who can keep up with my BS and he did...and that started our 6 year affair! ;)

What lasted us this long is the fact that we always communicate...pissed or sad we always tell each other our thoughts...silent treatment just don't exist in our relationship. I hate that...and cannot stand it. Shout at me if you will as long as we keep talking! :P Also we try to attack issues and issues only. We try not to bring insecurity issues get in the way and remember and remind ourselves if we have to, that whatever we argue about at the end of the day we are here for each other. Something like that! LOL

And last thing is that (and I know this will sound weird) we both believe in love as a decision more than a feeling. We decided many years ago to be here for each other and we will uphold that decision everyday...

People ask me why I love him...I don't know...all I know is I have him for some selfish reason. He makes me happy! If that is what love is then I love him...

And of course Monday is never complete without some Music to WARM our hearts, so here is Frank Sinatra's Love and Marriage!

Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
This I tell you brother
You cant have one without the other

Love and marriage, love and marriage
Its an institute you cant disparage
Ask the local gentry
And they will say its elementary

Try, try, try to separate them
Its an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
To this conclusion

Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
Dad was told by mother
You cant have one without the other

It's All About Christmas

Today is the second Monday of the month...and yes Christmas is getting nearer...and I always find myself in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the season.

I originally intend to post several things here...but just got a call and well, at 7:41 in the morning...I am not just in a mood to say it's a beautiful Monday!

I am not a self-acclaimed self-reliant person...but to get a call from somebody...to tell me about a problem he is having on the road...when I am still in my pajamas...and knowing I am helpless and knowing my mood swings...and a little twist and turn of my day can make me go back to being pill dependent and all is just outright selfish! First off, not only it will make me feel helpless...it puts me in a panic mood and to reject my call telling my I'm not a help after all?! F@ck that! Why called me in the first place?!?

Enough...

Okay...where was I...ah, Mamalang is our lovely FUN Monday host this week...and she sets the following as theme --

It's the Christmas season, and I want you to tell us what are your three favorite Christmas Carols and a picture of your favorite Christmas "thing". It could be a Christmas tree, or your mantle, or a church, you in a Santa hat.

So, it will be all about Christmas here...at least for today!

I am still not done with this whole decorating thing at home...but if you want to see a glimpse of what I had last year, click
HERE. That quite sums up what are some of the things I love about Christmas...

This part, I just added quick...one theme for Fun Monday last year was to feature a favorite ornament we have in our Christmas tree...so, if you could take a look at my quick header! ;) Yup, yup...

And for my favorite carol...I mean my favorite Christmas song...here is one, Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song...used to be I put it into auto play, but it might annoy some people...so there, just click it if you want to listen with me!

That's my entry for Music Monday too...

Back from Twilight!

Yes, I just got back from my sense...and if you have a not so busy Monday...you may you want to read the entire the post!

Time for my Busy Monday, a post full of mixed nuts!

So if you are here for a specific theme, you can either scroll down or click each --

Monday Movies...

FUN Monday...

Music Monday...

It has been a busy Monday for me...I was without internet during the weekend...and Mom got sick...and I was hustling and bustling making the house ready for the holidays! Ha!

Here is a run down of my crazy, chaotic, lovely life over the past days...

Saturday morning, we were busy preparing food for the children, yup, yup, my outreach is weekly! Off we go in the afternoon, it was full of fun and I am going to make a separate blog just to account my activities with the children and will make a post to link it up here.

Monday Movies

Saturday evening, IT Guy and I watched Twilight!

Oh my...I don't care if people would say it's a chic movie...I love it! SJI (for those who are new here, the is an ex turned into a best friend!) and Red has been telling me to watch it, and each of them has their own reason. Red said, I should watch it because of my fascination with Vampires...and he said, the romantic in me and the ever hopeful positive attitude of mine will like the twist in the story...while SJI said, you should watch it and pay close attention to Bella (the leading lady) so I get to see myself how I am when I get stupid...stubborn...and blinded. Nice! LOL

So we planned to get the LFS (last full show)...there were two theaters opened for it...and man, is the line long! Regardless, we're still lucky to get nice seats...

Now, let's go to the movie, oh boy, it was NICE! A feel good movie it is! And I'm inlove with it!

Bella has to moved from Phoenix to Washington State and be with her Dad. She went to Forks High to study and there she met the love of her life Edward Collins! Quite charming...though I have to admit, I did not find him that physically attractive...but hey, personality is sexy...so there, I love him within 2 minutes! LOL

It took one accident that let Edward reveal his special gift curse power to Bella by saving her from an accident which could have killed her! Then the story take so many turns from there...and comes Bella's discovery about Edward's real identity....making her confront him...he did not deny...he was honest...and wanted her to stay away from him...but well (as what SJI said...) she was stubborn...in love...and was not fearful in away. Her only fear was losing him, heck, he is immortal! Three things were sure then, (1) that Edward Collins is a vampire; (2) he can kill and harm people and (3) I am irrevocably and unconditionally in love with him...I mean SHE is! LOL

Two people, one human, the other a vampire...so in love...and through the test of time (ha, not much, just some chasing and fight...and bites...and few killings! ) once again, sending us the message that love conquers all! Oh my...I feel like I'm in my teens again...well, I always am! ROFL

My opinion---I kinda like the concept of vampires in the movie...they don't die if they get exposed to sunlight...and that it shows that even if one is built to kill, it is still a choice on what life to live...and how to live it! And that immortality is not really a good thing...and more than anything, let me ask you this;

If you can live forever, what will you live for?

Somebody told me he's going to live his life to be with me...can somebody turn us into vampires now!!!

FUN Monday

Our host for this week, is the lovely, Ari_1965. She set the following as this week's theme --

Tell us about your all-time worst Neighbors from Hell. You know, the family of Irish clog dancers who once lived in the flat/apartment above you? Mrs. Next door and her banshee-like multiple orgasms? Mr. and Mrs. Hard-of-Hearing with their television on full blast? The guys across the street who set off 4th of July fireworks starting in March and didn't stop until the first real snowfall?

I thought this is quite easy...'til I get to remember that, well, for the most part of my life, our house has been like...ummm...separated from the neighbors through high walls! Though that does not stop me from interacting with them, it certainly limits my exposure...and that makes me only remember the nice part...like parties in the neighborhood.

BUT, when we left the big old house, we get to live temporarily in a nasty not so nice community! Oh my, did they block our way so many freaking times! Yes, they park the motorbikes and put whatever they can in the drive way! And we have to effing call the police/traffic officers almost everyday. We finally moved out and gave up when one morning on the day home one man blocked his motorbike and confront us showing a gun tucked at his waist...something! Pfffft....I said, excuse me Sir, I think the gun is to pointed at your target, which in this context is ME, and make sure it is loaded...because the moment I take out mine, I'm telling you, my talent skill in guns will not make you outrun my bullet! That was me, my bigh mouth and my temper! The IT Guy, in panic mode, stepped down, and almost punched the guy... Fastforward, we moved to a way better neighborhood...and after 10 months...SJI and Red saw that moron, and okay...let me confess, we gave him a nice little "party". Think whatever you want...but the guy is alive...only, he will never look me the same way again...ever!

So there...happy late Fun Monday people!!!

I beg for Mo's indulgence this week for skipping Manic Monday, I will make it up Mo, promise!

So, let's go straight to Music Monday...here is ACDC with their Back in Black...why this one...just because! LOL

Glitters...

Hello folks!

Yes, it's Monday...do we say thank goodness it's Monday?

So many reasons to love Monday...and let me count the ways!

M of Misanthrope is hosting Fun Monday this week...yup, yup, I'm back with my Busy Monday stuff here!

M (no, not Bond's M, another M!) says --

Do you have a piece of jewelry or other item that holds great personal significance for you, and that you wear or keep with you every day? Show us a photo of your talisman, and tell us why it is so important to you.

I love this week's theme...so here goes;

My love for pearls...yes, like my friends always associate it with me! LOL

I love pearl accessory, they're classic, elegant, feminine and it's good to be minimalist, right?

The, my love for butterflies...

This is for a hair pin...I got this in one of my travel to Europe. I rarely use this though, it always makes my hair overdressed! LOL

But I love this!

Here are a mix of my pearls and butterfly necklaces and pendants and earrings collection. They may look familiar to some of you as I have showed this in one of our Fun Mondays when we featured our collections!

The one to the left of the red pendant is butterfly pendant on top of a heart. Both the butterfly and the heart has diamond studs (little ones!).

This one is a personal favorite of mine! the pendant is attached to the chain and you just need to slide it to adjust the length, something like that! I had this made when I was in Italy. I always wear this with my black turtle neck blouse.

So, this is me wearing the necklace! This was taken years ago, when I was working with a Software Development Company...

Please excuse my grumpy look, this is how Mariposa looks after being up for 48 hours! And you may discount the smile...I always smile...even when I'm pissed! LOL

This is another butterfly necklace and earrings! It's a set...I wear this for special occasions...

The ring is not part of the set, but it means a lot to me as it's a gift from an old friend when I was still in college.

And what I can't leave the house without?!

These rings!!!

That butterfly ring from my friend...a snake ring...the tribal ring in my thumb...and the one on my left hand is a star and moon ring!

And while some people may frown at my hands, I don't care...I love it!

I have some other jewelry...the ones that makes the IT Guy shift from a bf role to bodyguard role when I'm wearing them, but I can't find my camera right now. I think I left it at IT Guy's car yesterday...so I hope you excuse me for my cheat today as all this photos has been blogged already...

Last year was a memorable year as it caused quite a damaged to my collection, I lost pair 2 pairs of earrings while at the mall!!!

But one thing I learn about buying jewelry, never get something that you can't afford to lose!

Last week, I did a quick review on Quantum of Solace and promise to make another one for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. I did watch it Saturday evening with IT Guy and it was fun...fun...FUN!

The opening of the movie was a bitter sweet cute scene, with Alex being away from his Dad and calling his Dad while he was floating at the sea!

Then the fun began...starting with their air adventure! What a flight it was...

Then comes Alex reunion with the his family...

Ah, I want this only to be a quick review...so let me just say we had fun. IT Guy was laughing the whole time...obviously he loves it! I on the other hand...well, I had fun, but I'm not just as passionate about it as I am with James Bond and other action movies...I guess because I can relate more of guns than animal species?! (Yeah, you can laugh but I mean it!)

Monday will not be complete, so here is my take for Music Monday, I Just Don't Want to Be Lonely by Ronnie Dyson...this is my favorite version!

And what prompted me to post this song? Well, this was played in the cab on the way home while I was from the bank this morning...and it get stuck in my head!

In 1973, Ronnie had released the Thom Bell
produced album 'One Man Band' for the CBS imprint,
an album that included this song -
Just Don't Want To Be Lonely
(covered a year later by the group the Main Ingredient).

ADDED:

Took me long to find the theme for this week's Manic Monday, turns out, Mo, moved it to a new site...and since I've been away from Busy Monday...I just saw it now.

The theme for this week is SEASON! So this is my last minute...MANIC contribution!

“And you would accept the seasons of your heart just as you have always accepted that seasons pass over your fields and you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.” - Kahlil Gibran quotes

I wish everyone a Musical and Fun...Manic Monday!

For for MUSIC, please check SMID...

For more FUN...please the lovely M at Misformisanthrope...

And if you are feeling rather MANIC, check Manic Monday!

Find Bond!

What's up with the title?

Well, that's that! And if you are patient enough...you will know! LOL

Let me start this post with a random update on how my weekend went, though I blog about what I did for the majority of it in my Sunday Special post.

Saturday night I went out to meet our friend who has been for over a year now acts as our financial adviser.

With all the crashing down of stocks, people are panicking and well, umm...some if not most are withdrawing their investments. But for me and IT Guy, this is the best time to put our money to investments...well, money that we can afford not to have for the next 10-20 years. Long term investment it is!

So behold...Mariposa signing some checks and pertinent papers!

The meeting went well...we had fun chats...and it's nice to know that we're doing business with one of the world's financial institution.

After our meeting, off we go to the movies to see the love of my life the famous James Bond.

After we missed Casino Royale in the big screen, we made sure we don't get to commit the same mistake with Quantum of Solace!

Oh boy...such a great time we had!

I was proven myself wrong when I said I will not watch a Bond movie anymore after Pierce Brosnan....I am loving Daniel Craig...fast!

Quantum of Solace, a continuation follow up (not always the case for a Bond movie!) of 2006 Casino Royale, also Craig's first time to play as Bond opens with a bang! I'd like to believe so.

So many new things with Craig as Bond...and all made the movie great for me!

First thing, the movie is more into action and chasing...more brutal and messy killings and all...not that I advocated violence...but it's just more realistic to me...and it fits Craig as Bond so well!

Then, the movie had let go of the too much technological awe that other Bond movies used to have. Of course there are still good gadgets like high tech phones...but this time, it's something we all can relate to! We still see Bond drive that expensive car...like Aston Martin doing his chase...only here in this movie we get to see several cars...not the usual BMW that Pierce used to have.

Another notable thing is M's more interaction with Bond in the movie, which I love so much...so maternal and flirtatious at times. I really love seeing M...a very strong-willed woman commanding Bond and how she trusts him despite all! (Ha! Okay, Red, you can go ahead and laugh...)

One striking line from M in the movie is when she said to Bond this line - I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go.

I have to repeat it to myself - When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go...ah, that is something for me to blog another day!

And of course...a Bond movie is not complete without the Bond girls, right? It's funny because in the early part of the movie, IT Guy was like...where are the girls? That is Bond's signature...and I was like...shut and up...007 is his signature...not girls! Yes, the jealous I am! LOL

Then, boom...we saw the girls. I love how they did the introduction...so artful...so modern...and I love the song!

So going back to Bond girls...below is a snapshot of one if the most sexy scene of the movie...

“Do you know how angry I am at myself,” says the naked, raven-haired new Bond girl as Bond kisses his way up her spine replying, "You must be furious..." or something like that!

All in all, I'd say it's a good movie...and worth your time! Please go watch it and let me know what you think...

All I'm sure of, is if Craig's a work in progress as a Bond, with this movie, he is certainly finished...and polished at that!

You can get the DVD of the movie now!

I hope to watch Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa this week and hopefully I can make another quick review on that next Monday!

Here is the movie's theme song by the way, Another Way to Die!

Oh yes, I did find Bond! And Happy Music Monday everyone!

My Prayer...

Many a times we feel we know more...we know better...and we think we are strong, until we falter mid-air. The past weeks provided me a good grasp of what I want with my life...and with God's grace, I am slowly making my way there.

Proverbs 3:5 is a great reminder to all of us to trust and lift everything up to Him...

The song being played is title Take Me Out of the Dark, My Lord by a local artist named Gary Valenciano.

I love this song so much...and the words are my prayer today...

Mp3 Codes @ www.mp3glam.com

Just what is it in me?
Sometimes I just don't know
What keeps me in Your love,
Why you never let me go

This is how great God's love is! And this show much He loves us!

And though you're in me now,
I fall and hurt you still
My Lord, please show me how
To know just how you feel

For the times I have been weak, selfish, He did not abandon me...
He will never abandon us.

You have forgiven me
Too many times it seems
I feel I'm not what you might call
A worthy Christian after all
And though I love You so
Temptation finds its way to me

Lord please deliver me from all forms of temptation.
Strengthen my heart oh Lord.

Teach me to trust in You
With all my heart
To lean not on my own understanding
I just forget
You won't give me what I can't bear

Lord, remind me everyday to lean not on my own understanding but to trust YOU with all of my heart.

Take me out of the dark, my Lord
I don't wanna be there

It is through the Lord's mercy that I'm able to stand through test of times.
Thank you Lord for being my light...

You've never left my side
You gave Your hand to me to hold
Oh Jesus, I'm no longer in the cold

You carried me through and weathered every storm that came my way...
I love you Lord.

And yet, I leave You there
When I feel satisfied
I'd like to thank You every day
Not only when I feel that way

Thank you Lord for the blessings you have showered me...my family and friends. I also thank you for the gift of WFW community through which I have found comfort and joy!

I've never known a Man
Who'd give His life for sinners like me
And yet, because He loves us so
He's promised us eternity
And we can have that promise
And be His if we have faith
And just believe

Amen!

Teach us to trust in you
With all my heart
To lean not on my own understanding
We just forget
You won't give us what we can't bear

I thank you for all the wonderful opportunities you have given me...
To know love's pain and pleasures...
To understand life's disappointment and successes...
The value of family and friends...
The real meaning of generosity and compassion...
To live the life you wanted me to have!

Take us out of the dark, My Lord
'Cause we don't want to be alone
Take me out of the dark, My Lord
We don't wanna be there, My Lord

Trust in You with all my heart
Lean not on my own understanding
I just forget
You won't give me what I can't bear

Take me out of the dark, My Lord
Cause we don't want to be alone
Take me out of the dark, My Lord
I don't want to be there

And as you have created the heavens and earth and made us into your image, teach us to discern your hand in all your works in your likeness in all your children...in Jesus name, Amen.

TMI on a Monday...

...though of another kind!!!

Oh...this is not the kind of TMI you think it is...it's something else...though it's still too much information yet...this make you laugh...it made me...so I hope it will make your day!

I stole got this from Ceedy and can't help but do an echo post! I did not make much alterations as the original post as it is -- is way funny too funny to modify!

Inter...course...anyone???

Yes, imagine yourself on a trip...daydreaming and get awaken by that question?! You check your senses to make sure you heard it right...then, yes, the conductor just did ask -- "Intercourse anyone?"

The conductor was not asking if someone wanted an "intercourse" but if someone wanted to get down in a town called Intercourse. It is a town in Pennsylvania...

Yup...yup, this is what this post is all about...interesting names of places around the world.

Ceedy did a great job in his research and most especially in putting them together to make interesting observations...he did put the country in brackets so as not to spoil the fun! ;)

Few close friends went on a road trip. Here is a breakdown of some interesting events.

Wetwang (United Kingdom), Bigadic (Turkey) and Twatt (United Kingdom) decided to Ballplay (Tennessee US) Bare (United Kingdom) to prevent Assloss (Scotland) in Long Dong Village (China) After some initial Petting (Germany), Titisee (Germany) and Beaverlick (Kentucky), the Hooker (California) said I Needmore (Texas US) in the Anus (France)

Meanwhile Bloody Dick (Montana US) with Bobbin Head (Australia) went to Butztown - (Pennsylvania US) instead of Mount Gay (West Virginia US). There was some Cockintake (United Kingdom) and then some Cockburn (Australia) as they Mount Mee (Australia). After they were Dunmovin (California) and had Climax Springs (Missouri US) there was lots of Seman (Alabama US) floating.

As it so happened that while Fucking (Austria) the Titless (Switzeland) Fingringhoe - (Essex, United Kingdom) with a Thong (England), Bangor (Wales) decided to use a Dildo(Canada) on the Beaver (Oklahoma US.) There was plenty of Sexmoan (Phillipines) while Muff (Ireland) diving Onacock (Viginia US) and wanted to Euren (Wisonsin, US) badly and said Fugit (Kentucky US) and went into the woods of Glasscock County (Texas US.)

Edited: Not to spoil the fun but Sexmoan...really refers to Sasmuan, a town in Pampanga which expats usually mispronounce as "sesmuan".

The residents of the nearby
Little Dix Village (West Indies) caught him and he ran with his Weener (Germany) in one hand and showing the middle finger with the other saying Gofoku (Japan)

All in all the trip to Moorheadsville (Illinois US) to see some Titz (Germany) and the Nipple (Wyoming US) was not a Disappointment (Kentucky).

While searching for the above names came across these two mother of all names. Imagine writing this on an envelope or a postcard.

Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu,
New Zealand (This is really a place - did a search on Google Maps!!!!)

...and this small tiny rail station in Wales!

LLANFAIRWLLGWYNGLLGOGERYYCHWYRNDROBWILLLLANTYSILIOGOGOGOCH -

Imagine a kid asking his dad - Dad where are we?. Before he can figure out the above town - the train will surely have started to depart!!!

And best for the last - will you ever wear such a T-shirt. Its a town in Connecticut, US.

Too much information...right? Hope it gives you a genuine Monday smile...

And Monday is never complete without any music! So here goes...Janet Jaskson's Escapade!

Wordly Monday!!!

Hello everyone!

I know, I know...how come I seem to be doing only a weekly post...well, things are just a bit hectic for me the past days...but I'm trying not to miss Busy Monday!

Today will be FUN, MANIC and MUSICAL!!!

Mo of Manic Monday made BIG this week's theme...

Hmmm...BIG...like, Big, in the Sex and City?! He makes me miss Ace so much...so that character that first came to my mind...and sent me to Oblivion for minutes...

But, back to this post...

Add to that, Emily and Jennifer of Mothers of Brothers set the following challenge for FUN Monday -

Choose your favorite words or words. And the trouble is - it’s hard to choose. We bloggers love all words. But luckily, these are words and not people so we don’t have to worry about offending the words we didn’t choose.

Oh well...FUN yet MANIC indeed!

Well...well...

I'm a lover of WORDS...yet, there are words, that are quite BIG meaning as far as Mariposa's glossary of terms is concern...

Before I go too serious with my business today...let me tell you that today --

I'm tired...

And energized...

Both at the same time!

Today, I had my wall climb after a very long time...and damn, it feels so GOOD!

It always feels GOOD to scale your obstacles...

and CONQUER heights!

To be at the TOP...to LEAD!

To REACH your DESTINY!

It's such an ACHIEVEMENT to get to the TOP...

Ans scaling your way down...feels like FLYING!

I always LOVE to FLY!!!

Those my friends were BIG WORDS for Mariposa...

I'd also love to share with you the following poem, for the love of WORDS.

"A Jingle of Words"
by Elizabeth (Betty) Stam

Don't you love the common words
In usage all the time;
Words that paint a masterpiece;
Words that beat a rhyme,
Words that sing a melody,
Words that leap and run,
Words that sway a multitude,
Or stir the heart of one?

Don't you love the lively words--
Flicker, leap and flash,
Tumble, stumble, pitch and toss,
Dive, and dart and dash,
Scramble, pirouette and prance,
Hurtle, hurdle, fling,
Waddle, toddle, trot and dance,
Soar and snatch and swing?

Don't you love the lengthy words--
Subterranean,
Artificial, propagate,
Neapolitan,
Revelation, elevate,
Ambidextrous
Undenominational,
Simultaneous?

Don't you love the noisy words--
Clatter, pop and bang,
Scrape and creak and snarl and snort,
Crash and clash and clang,
Crackle, cackle, yowl and yap,
Snicker, snare and sneeze,
Screech and bellow, slash and howl,
Whistle, whine and wheeze?

Don't you love the colorful--
Amber, rose and gold,
Orchid, orange and cerise,
Crimson, emerald,
Purple, plum and lavender,
Peach and Prussian blue,
Turquoise matrix, jade and jet,
Hazel, honeydew?

Yes, with just the common words
In usage everywhere,
You can capture incidents
Beautiful and rare.
In words you have a weapon
More mighty than a gun;
You can say the multitude
Or stir the heart of one.

And finally...Happy Music Monday everyone....hope you love this one...for this is one of my favorites...Angel of of the Morning...and I love the kick of this version...though Olivia Newton's, Bonnie Tyler's as well as The Pretenders' were just as amazing!

There’ll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can find your heart
And there’s no need to take a stand
For it was I who choose to start
I see no need to take me home
I’m old enough to face the dawn

Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away from me

Maybe the sunlight will be dim
But it won’t matter anyhow
If morning’s echoes say we’ve sinned
Then it was what I wanted now
And if we’re victims of the night
I won’t be blinded by the light

Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning
Then slowly turn away from me

Baby baby baby

Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
