Busy Sunday...

What a long day!

IT Guy and I just got home from our friend's funeral...she has been called to a home of eternal rest. Such a long day for us.

I'd be taking a quick shower and off I go for my massage...I badly need one and missing one weekend is just way too much for me.

Below's post about the danger of asbestos and I'd like to thank Jam for her comment...and to make it up, here are medical sites which offers
information about mesotholioma and other illnesses caused by asbestos. I hurriedly put up those links below with one only thought, on how to help patients get their legal rights as most of the time, their family would only be too focused on getting medical care for the patient, like what happened to us.

It's now almost 8pm here and weekend is almost over and I haven't felt rested yet. Not a bit, not at all! I hope the massage later will relax me a bit and will give a restful sleep.

So here is my
Unconscious Mutterings for the week...

  1. Nursery :: ...rhymes

  2. Side effect :: ...of asbestos!

  3. Heart to heart :: ...talk!

  4. Try :: ...and try again 'til you succeed!

  5. Hog :: ...race

  6. Symptom :: ...and causes

  7. Collide :: Illusions sometimes collide with reality...

  8. Fury :: Fist of Fury

  9. Incorporated :: ...into our common life.

  10. Summer :: ...of 69?!

Wish you all a happy Sunday!

Beware Of The Danger of Asbestos

For the past months, one word has shocked my being - cancer. Since the middle of last year, I've had 2 friends diagnosed with it and another one this year, and we lost her a week ago. My grandpa died of cancer many years ago...and an uncle died of lung cancer about 2-3 years ago.

Reason enough for me to hate the word? No. But more than enough for me to resolved to know more about it.

For me cancer is a malady and an occurrence that we can't simply do anything about. WRONG!

I just have to look around and I can see clearly one form of cancer that can be explained...lung cancer! While some associate it to smoking and unhealthy lifestyle, I say it is also sad that one leading cause of it is work-related, just my uncle who passed away. He was diagnose with
mesothelioma. Though the doctor mentioned it to us in passing that this can be cause by exposure of certain chemicals at work, we were busy trying to look for cure and treatment to the illness. It is only very recent that I get to understand more about mesothelioma from a friend. One hard fact about this illness is that most of the time, it only gets detected at its later stage. And since I am no expert on the topic, let me share with you this online source which offers different information related to mesothelioma, from symptoms, types to possible its causes.

I was going through the site and one reality hit me...my uncle's death was caused by his type of job, he was exposed to asbestos. IT Guy had to remind me last night what it is...reminding me of that white thing we used at the lab in our chemistry class to protect our beakers and other glass wares in the labs. He said that thing is poisonous and can cause cancer! I was like....why in the world did I not know that?! He also added that manufacturers of construction parts here like stuff people used as insulators in their houses are using that and are not taking extra precaution for their employees. My jaw dropped. While he assured me that he will make sure we don't have that at home, my worry is for people who are exposed to it, just like my uncle!

I did some online research and it saddens me to know that even in the US many people are exposed to it at work and are getting sick because of it. Then I realize we missed to do one thing for our uncle...that is fighting his cause with his employer, it could have made a difference with the lives of their employees there. We could have consulted a
Mesothelioma Lawyer or anyone who is an expert to the subject matter.

Nevertheless, it is never too late to make up!

I am making this post so people like me who are doing online research about mesothelioma and who might stumble this blog will be know that there are people and agency who can help them with this issue.

Living A Good, Having A Good Read!

PhotoHunt: BOOK(s)

Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience:
this is the ideal life.

~Mark Twain

I am a book lover and I collect books...to a point that I think I can build my own library! (I dream of owning a coffee shop with a library of wonderful books one day.) These books are my recent read...though some I've read them many times already. These books are scattered all over my bedroom...sometimes in my bed, bedside table, computer table or just any place where I happen to sit! You can see how varied my readings are...LOL

The road to knowledge begins
with the turn of the page.

This is from the book The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck. The first line is so striking that I my teen years pondering on this line -- "Life is difficult."

Life happened because I turned the pages.

~Alberto Manguel

And as I go through life...I realize the level of difficulty may vary and that it need not be difficult at all...we have to get acquainted with it...understand it and love it!

This is a quotation by Pere Hyacinthe Besson, from the book, Thoughts On...Being Happy, a collection of beautiful words and paintings by Helen Exley --

"Be gentle, patient, humble and courteous to all, but especially be gentle and patient with yourself. I think that many of your troubles arise from an exaggerated anxiety, a secret impatience with your own faults; and this restlessness, when once it has got possession of your mind, is the cause of numberless trifling faults, which worry you...I would have your honest in checking and correcting yourself, but at the same time patient under the consciousness of your frailty."

Search in the Lord's book of living
and read what it says.

Isaiah 34:16

And finally...my ultimate companion, the Bible.

This is rather quite a busy weekend for me and IT Guy..but I love the theme too much to miss it! More so, I'd love to see others BOOK(s). Let's visit PhotoHunt's HQ to see more!

Happy weekend everyone!

Philippine Scandal and Controversy

senate inquiry
on hayden-katrina case
a senate circus!

* * *

It never occured to me to make a post on this issue but what I saw on TV yesterday prompted me to do so...

For the past days, the Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili sex video scandal has been the talk of the town...and to some point in some parts of the world as well.

Brief Background

Hayden Kho, a doctor and Katrina Halili is an actress. Both were linked December of last year, causing the temporary break-up of Hayden and Dr. Vicki Belo, a renowned cosmetic and dermatologic surgeon and is the founder and co-owner of the famous Belo Medical Group. That temporary break-up also resulted to Hayden's attempted suicide.

This month the entire nation was schoked when a series of videos of Hayden and Katrina were released in the public. The first was a video of them both singing and dancing in sexy outfits. You may watch the said video here. That video was followed by another video exposing intimate moments of Katrina and Hayden...and more videos of sexual acts between Hayden and other women, one was with a Brazilian model and the other one was with Maricar Reyes. And rumors say there are still more!

Apparently these videos were taken without the consent of the women in the video!

Current Scenario...

The Senate is intervening on this issue...too seriously that they have to call all parties involved to a Senate hearing. Thank goodness only 3 Senators were present, Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, and Madrigal. Both Estrada and Revilla voted to keep the inquiry open to the public, forcing Madrigal to accede.

I don't want to put into details anymore what happenedin the Senate hearing...all I'm certain is that, it turned the Senate into a circus! Very sad.

Now I'm thinking if these Senators have other more meaningful things to attend to. As I recall, just last week, I saw on TV farmers fired with water cannons outside outside of the House of the Representatives building. This is just one of the many important issues that this country is facing since time immemorial...and yet, none of the Senators took this concern seriously. Perhapd they were too busy with other more important matters...like dwelling on sex video scandals?! Pfft!

My take on this issue is that the people involved were mature enough to get themselves into this kind of trouble and I believe in their own personal capacity they can reached solution to it without the need of Senate's involvement.
I am a woman and I certainly do not agree and will forever frown at what Kho did to these ladies. Yet, I also belived that these women can fight for their rights and can seek justice any courts in the country. There is certainly no need for the Senate to be involved and waste their time on another showbiz scandal. After all this is not the first time this happens!

After all Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano himself, chair of the Senate Committee on Information and Mass Media, kept off the inquiry as he saw no urgency on this matter saying he would like to do justice to all victims of such nature by focusing more on the clear legislative aspects of the Hayden-Katrina affair...and added, But all these issues may be resolved without turning the Senate into a circus,”

There! He nailed it so well. Maybe it is time for them to examine and ammend laws on pornograhy and especially with the onset of internet as a convenient medium of distribution.

This is the first time that I blog about a local issue and I hope there will no more issues for me to rant about here.

To those who feel and sympathize for the victims, you can do something. Keep silent. Don't talk about it anymore. Let it die a natural death.

And ladies, be very careful! Beware of those cams!

Understanding Death

My Wordless Wednesday is below this post.
Please scroll down or click HERE.

The loss of a friend we've experienced this week made me reflect on many things;

...life, death, friendships, relationships, time, health, things to do...and many other things!

With all the pondering and reflections, I was brought to Jeremiah 29:11.

As I was flipping through the pages in my Bible my fingers led me to the following words,

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

What a beautiful reminder! With all the things I've been thinking alot about...all the questions...Jeremiah 29:11 answered them all for God is the ultimate answer to everything I was asking/searching for. Truly He knows what is best for us and He has plans for us. We just have to live according to His will.

And death, is something we may have to learn to embrace. Joseph Cardinal Bernadin said it well in his speech delivered at Georgetown University last 1996, he said, "...As a person of faith, of resurrection faith, I see death as a friend, not a foe; and the experience of death is, I am convinced, a transition from life to life, from grace to glory."

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:56-57

My faith allows me to face death with an open mind and open heart. But acceptance of death comes in several forms. I am ready for it. I can die and be with my Creator anytime...and I can leave peacefully and happily. But, if I will be facing the same question on losing a loved one...I most of the time has to struggle...as for the most part, it is easier to die than experience loss/ death of a loved one. But faith is not just acceptance on what our future holds...but it is also about trusting the lives of our loved one unto Him. Easier said than one I know...so everyday I pray for God to deliver my loved ones from harm, and that should He has other plans for them, I also pray that He rest his arm on my shoulder so I will have strength to accept His will.

This post will be a start of a new process in my life. Something I have been trying to run away in the past...I will understand death. I will get to know death. For I believe it is only then that I can embrace it.

What about you? How you see death?

Today We Mourn The Loss of A Friend

A friend of ours (mine and IT Guy's) passed away yesterday around 1:30 PM.

Edna works with the IT Guy, she's the City's Accountant. Though I have only known her for a couple of months, I have found a strange attachment towards her. She is a beautiful person, inside and out...very witty...smart...and full of life's enthusiasm despite her circumstances.

It was one of those December nights last year when I asked IT Guy to invite them to dinner. There were only four of us, Edna, Agnes, IT Guy and myself. Just four of us...but the gladness that swept me off that time is unbounded. It was one of those precious moments with precious friends...for my case, new found friends. It was so much fun that we promised ourselves to do it again...and to make it something like a night out activity for group every now and then.

January I was told by the IT Guy that she got sick and is going through an executive check-up. For someone who gets sick and to be asked for that thorough tests, I was sensing something must be wrong, yet I kept my optimism the whole time. I sent her a message asking her how's everything and if there is anything I can do for her...

She seems fine then...

After a few days, we were informed that she has cancer. Apparently the cyst in her tummy was not just an ordinary one. Her cancer was already in it's final stage. She was into Sutent...and she was suffering a lot. I have known so many people who are into Sutent treatment and are doing fine...so as I was still optimist about the whole thing. After all, she's a strong woman and I have always admired her strength.

Few weeks ago her illness got worst to a point that she's having difficulty breathing. We visited her in the hospital and that was my last personal encounter with her. I told her I am sharing with her a year of my life so she gets to do the things she needed to do. My last visit at the hospital was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Heartbreaking because I know anytime we can lose her...inspiring because I did not see any trace of fear in her eyes. She was calm...ready and so peaceful.

They say life is hard but death is harder. Especially when we refuse to give in to that crushing weight of emotions rolling in our mind, like what I did. All this time, I keep telling people, she will live and she will survive...as she always do.

This morning, IT Guy called me up and informed me about her death.

I have to hold back tears and try so hard to sound fine on the phone...while my mind search for an answer to so many questions. Why? How come? Why so sudden? Is it real? Why did she not take that 1 year I told her I'm willing to share with her? What about the things she just started fighting with? So many questions...but I have no answer.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

So while I sit here blinking my tears away Proverbs 3:5 flashed before me. And I remember my last talk with Edna...her calmness, her strength...how she lifted it all up to the Lord.

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men,
who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Death comes to us like a theft in the night...and I have learned this the hard way. So everyday I try to live my life as if it is my last...and try to learn life's lessons as if I'm going to live forever.

To Edna, you may be gone for us you never left...for you shall always stay in our hearts. Please be at peace knowing you have touched so many people's lives and have inspired many of us to be strong amidst adversity and trials.

We will miss you for sure!

A Fun To Read...

The other day I was going through old blogs I used to visit and I visited a fave of mine, My Life...A Cup of Deja Brew. The last post of that blog was dated April 19 and it was titled Everything But Thankfulness. It was a very nice post...Jet was relating her life to us as a nurse.

She went on detailing how her life as one is...how each shift would start and end and how challenging it can be...and just one incident at the store where she carried a conversation with a stranger telling her how grateful she is for the nurses in the hospital she was working...etc, etc. I welled in tears for so many reasons...first I felt for her pain being away from her friends and family...and while I was composing my thoughts in my head on how to tell her how great her job is...on the way to the bottom, somebody already did! How great is that?!

So I got curious and I was looking around for related articles and I get to Scrubs. This is a very fun site as opposed to other nurse sites which is other too clinical in discussing about the profession and the people in it. If there is one thing that sets this online magazine it's the part that it has a personal touch all over the site!

Browsing through the site made me smile...in my head, maybe this is something people like Jet would love to read. This is something uplifting...light and inspiring. Just what people need in this times of busyness.

The site covers variety of reasons for readers to smile...regardless if they are nurse...or just any readers.

I am particularly touched with one article about Praying with a Patient. What a nice virtue to share with fellow aspiring nurses. And what a comfort for readers to know that our loved ones are with people...and are given extra care. I really loved how the magazine addressed this certain topic. The article ended with the following amazing tips --

Tips for Praying With Your Patients

* The most important thing is to clarify what will be the most helpful for the patient, rather than what you think they need. This is good practice anyway– assume nothing.

* Ask directly what the patient wants to pray about, and allow the patient to speak his or her own prayers, too.

* Have a conversation about the patient's beliefs– ask where he or she sees God in the current crisis.

* Ask about which images of God would be most helpful for the patient at this time. Is it the Good Shepherd? The Holy Spirit? Allah the Most Merciful? The answer might surprise you.

The reverends agree: "Bottom line- be respectful, don’t impose, don’t assume anything and then, go for it."

I'm not a nurse yet most often, in my professional career I get to ask this same question...when do I draw a line between my profession and my faith. And well, I found it here..."- be respectful, don’t impose, don’t assume anything and then, go for it."

Another thing which I love about Scrubs is their tips on beauty and lifestyle! Of course, no one should be too busy to take good care of themselves, right? One of the many helpful articles I found on the site is The Beauty Stimulus Package. It has amazing tips for busy people...and I find it handy myself...just so practical!

If you are looking for a highly informative magazine to help you with anything without boring you with too many clinical stuff...check Scrubs!

Extravagant Bags Everyone!

Mariposa has passion for just so many things...and one of them are BAGS!

So today, allow me to flood with some too much information on bags...and well, if you have nothing to do you find this post worthwhile to read.

Let me start with a random discussion of some known brands...the order of the items does not necessarily according to popularity and price as I insert some creation in between prices range because they are from the same line.

I am also sure I missed so many other wonderful creations out there...these are just brands which I am familiar of.

David Kroell Balls...

This Devi Kroell Crystal Mesh bag is for people who loves the dance floor. Gleaming, bright silver crystal mesh, this purse is trimmed with a sturdy silver frame and features a matching chain strap. It’s just the right size to stash one's evening essentials - just decide what stuff to carry or this would be too bulky to hang around your arm! Available at around $2430...

And for those who are still in more into disco look, I present to you
Devi Kroell Crystal Disco Ball.

Devi Kroell, who's known for his metallic style and skin snake hobos, gives this Crystal Disco Ball a glamorous advantage by covering the handbag with lustrous black crystals.

For just $ 4, 900 you can carry a disco ball with you! LOL

Personally I am not into too much glitters...yet if I am to choose, I find the mesh bag more appealing! For one I most of the time end up stocking my purse stuff...so I need space! Just my opinion... ;)

But, if space is just the issue...well, there is also the Devi Kroell Alligator Hobo!

A triangular shaped soft tote bag and is a perfect apparel to any corporate attire. And what I love most is, it is roomy enough to put your laptop and is refined with extra storage pockets for all your extra gadgets and accessories. All for $ 28,990. Sweet!

Bottega Veneta Bambina Handbag...

Bambina stands out from the spring line of Bottega Veneta as a trendy fashion accessory. This soft crocodile version with a magnetic closure offers both style and sophistication. This item is available only at Bottega Veneta boutiques,.

At $ 7, 800...this define you status!

Though this pricey item is not as bold as designer designer brands in showing off their trademark and logo...I'd say this will be one I don't mind owning. This is good for everyday use...as you can stock stuff inside without making it bulge! Yes I am into space...for if I don't have anything to bring...why bother carry a handbag?!

Gucci Boston Handbag

A trend setter for the fashion flaunters, Boston handbag features gold hardware and bamboo details. Also available in black crocodile and guccissima leather. This item range from $12,000 to $13,900 depending on the size.

I'd say this would be an awesome gift for my Mom! Oh no, not that I find this style 'classic' but because my Mom would love this more. I don't really care much for gold shade...while she is used to it. This is also spacious enough for her...though I have to admit most of the time she travels light than I do. But I have to say, I love the color of this one!

Now...I have also my fave from this line, the Gucci Joy Boston Bag. Not as pricey but I love the white/black flower embroidery.

I think it's the most eye catching Gucci creations I've laid eyes on! Glad they combined silver and gold to detail the black button or it would have been a turn off for me! As bizarre as it sounds somehow this mishmash of elements works for me.

This something I'd love to carry on the plane with me for some fly in-fly out trips. Pre-order of this item at Saks last year cost around $1,950. Don't ask how I know! LOL

Chloe Paddington Bag...

The bag du jour last autumn, this grey leather version,a Paddington satchel, popular since years back, features metal accouterments with a signature padlock closure.

All yours at $13,000.

Some luxury department store allows customers to order no more than three every 30 days.

I like the padlock closure...and this will be awesome for office! Let me call
Bergdorf Goodman now! LOL

Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag

Available in shimmering silver crocodile, this exclusive Ralph Lauren collection is named after his wife. Delicately crafted from rare American alligator and finished with Italian hardware, this stunning luxury falls to top 17 notch. The Ralph Lauren classic Ricky bag creation was inspired by a vintage bag, the Cooper Saddle Carrier.

For those who loves pink, like me (this is just a very recent discovery, a weird transformation since I used to dislike it), well from what I heard only 12 Pink Alligator Ralph Lauren Ricky bags were made...and as of mid of last year 6 were already sold! But I just got my pink hangover this year so I did not care! LOL

And if you want more shocking colors...well, go visit Japan...Orange Alligator Ralph Lauren Ricky is only sold in RL Japan!

Get ready with your $14,000!

Zac Posen Alexian Handbag

As in all of Posen bags this creation upholds elegance and sophistication and an ultimate homage to the ’70s.

Oozing with opulence at $15,000, this blue crocodile version is a must have for the rich ladies!

No, I don't have it! It has an edgy golden hardware accent, so I don't care for it.

LEIBER Dandelion Suede Gator Handbag

A bright springtime yellow color, this alligator bag comes with two external pockets and a strap as well as a clasp made of 18-carat gold.

Please note that only 4 have been made of this style for $15,000.

Hmm, this will be good but I guess I may not flaunt my $15,000 always should I own one as the color just seems not for all occasions. And the strap and clasp are in gold!

But...there is one from Leiber line that I hear so much. Behold...the Leiber Precious Rose Handbag!

Shaped like a flower, this hand bag is just a precious find. This bag incorporates a total glint of 1,016 shiny shimmering diamonds, 1,169 pink sapphires and 800 pink tourmalines, set majestically in 18-carat white gold.

This $92,000 luxury clutch bag is only ONE in the WORLD.

Prada Frame Bag

A luxury, this crocodile bag follows a distinct structured design made its debut in Milan in 2006. Its more popular colors include the tan
color which is known as Krusca.

This item is still within $15,000 price range!

Yves Saint Laurent Muse

Its unique design provides ample space yet retains the refined character of Yves Saint Laurent bags. The preferred bag of known personalities like Jessica Simpson and Kate Moss.

What seems to be an oversized bag has been transformed into something classy to carry.

This creation cost around $18,000!

If there is one thing I love about this bag it's the size! I can carry this around without looking like I'm the one being carried by the bag...as what IT Guy always tell me when I would opt to get a big bag!

Hermès Birkin Bags

This Hermés bags are on special orders. Named after the famous fashion icon and British actress of the 60s, Jane Birkin.

I find the design of this one superb...especially the red one! This extravagant creation is around $20,000.

I love this so much that I did not see the gold accent! You got that?! LOL

The Hermes Matte Crocodile Birkin Bag is an elegant creation that graced the arms of most fashion icons, thus hailed as the
cream of the crop among status bags. This stylish handbag is carefully designed with a white gold clasp elaborated with 10 carats of stunning diamonds.

The Hermes Matte Crocodile Birkin is a rare find since it has only ONE available worldwide. Only at $75,000!

Fendi B Bag

Its design is the revival of the structured handbag. This white crocodile design is expected to be the bestseller of Fendi since the Baguette.

Certainly the next “It” bag, this Fendi B bag is graced with two stylish and oversized buckles.

I am fan of Fendi...always has been! So I'd say $27,000 is just so worth it!

Here is another stunning creation from Fendi, the Fendi Selleria Bag!

This is a luxurious and sexy leather bag...this bag is made of sable or Chinchilla, two of the most rarest and most expensive animal skins.

Delicately structured to be soft, pliable and smooth in texture,
this bag is crafted using Roman technique.

This is a made to order item at around $38,000!

Another creation within this range of price is Gadino Bag by Hilde Palladino.

Made of white crocodile skin and embellished with 39 diamonds, this bag is certainly in the list of the most extravagant bags!

Though I'd say, a bejeweled bag like this is not uncommon but the quality and design that the Norwegian designer Hilde Palladino created for this Gadino bag makes ladies appreciate it not from a distance, but in a closer look.

Still within the mark is LV (Louis Vuitton) Tribute Patchwork Bag at $42,000.

This creation combines 15 different Louis Vuitton samples. A lot of critics disparage this tote’s design and has gotten mixed reviews in public but it has made it to the extravagant list. Four are sold out in U.S. and 20 are available in LV boutiques through out Asia and Europe.

Maybe if you are a collector of LV this might appeal to you. But personally there is no way I'd buy this bag. No.Way. After all, I'm never a fan of LV.

What about you? Will you spend $42,000 for this bag?!

Now if that made you think...hold it, here is another LV creation priced at $150,000.

This Urban Satchel Louis Vuitton Bag is just a different taste of fashion for me. Created with what designers call “urban charms,” the bag is crafted with all sorts of urban rubbish you can find from shrimp tails, band aid, cigarette packets, tea bags to gums and used water bottle.

Though labeled as “Fugly” and was declared one of the ugliest bags, this one-of-a-kind luxury still made it a hit to the rich and famous teenagers.

Ha! I rest my case...

Chanel Diamond Forever Classic

One of the world’s most priced bag. One can only get obsessed with its superior and lavish demeanor but this bag is definitely not that easy to bag!

This hand bag is overflowing with extravagance with its 334 diamonds, that’s a head spinning 3.56 carats in total, magnificently seated in an 18-carat white gold frame. It has long shoulder chain straps made of 18-carat gold.

There are only 13 Chanel Diamond Forever bags created at $261,000 each. I wish I can add I have one of them!

And the latest and the most extravagant of all bags ---

Extravagant Price: £1 million

A platinum creation with 2,000 glimmering diamonds. This bag is just versatile, with a diamond-beaded strap which can be used as a necklace or bracelt by simply detaching it from the bag. The bag is also embellished with an 8-carat pear shaped shimmering diamond that can be used as a separate accessory.

This bag designer bag is a work of Ginza Tanak, a Japanese Designer.

Wow! Is all I can say...

I guess I have finally exhausted myself and hopefully I can sleep now if only to get hold of this in my dream!

PhotoHunt: PLASTIC

©KINZÉNGUÉLÉ /COURTESY SCHOOL GALLERY PARIS

This photo is from "L’art...En Eaux Troubles" (Art...in Troubled Waters), an exhibition of contemporary art in Paris. I found this photo via TreeHugger and thought this is fitting for this week's theme.

This photo tells us a thousand stories! Others may see this as another brilliant creative idea...a new found way of recycling bottled water. Some may just look at this as something about shaping a culture. Well, I'd day it's more than that. The heartbreaking ingenuity of this person is an economic call not just to political leaders but to all of us.

You may have your own story for this photo...just as I could go on and type more...yet all I can think of for now is, I wish this person has real shoes!

This week is another challenge for me...and I am so excited to see what others have. Let's visit PhotoHunt's HQ to check more plastic!

To US friends...Happy Memorial weekend! Enjoy the long holidays...and for the rest...I wish you all a kickass weekend just the same. ;)

Hugs and Kisses!

Is It Morning Yet?!

i can't sleep again
so i'm blogging my @$$ off
hoping to doze off

~ ♥ ~* ~ ♥ ~ *~ ♥ ~

To those who do not know, I'm on EST (US) timezone.

I left work a little past 5 so hoping I'd finally get that sleep I've been depriving myself...or should I say, that sleep that my body has been depriving me. Ha!

I went to bed around 6, and was up almost 9...it's now past 12, and I'm still up. The past days I've only had 4-5 hours sleep...and to be working in the evening just kind of double the stress.

So when I'm up...I'm on the net...blogging! Haiku today seems to short to tire myself...so I figured I needed another activity...so here is my Friday Fill-Ins #125!

1. Moving forward.

2. Born free.

3. My best quality is compassion.

4. I am keen on details.

5. In nearly 10 years, I'll playing with my children in my garden.

6. SLEEP is what I need right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to meeting the IT Guy at the airport and having dinner with him, tomorrow my plans include going to the salon to have my facial and my scheduled massage and Sunday, I want to try that recipe from Jen at A2Eatwrite!

For other fun and wonderful fill-ins, please visit Friday Fill-Ins!

I wish you all a restful Friday! ;)

Sleep Typing?!

Today I left work a bit earlier than usual. I wanted to go to bed early...so I did. But just an hour ago I got up with a terrible headache. I guess I'm going to have colds or something because it rained here the past days and I was out in the rain a few times.

So I sit here wondering what to do since I just had lunch and it's seems near to impossible for me to get back to sleep...then I heard a beep, my cellphone. It's the IT Guy with his message --

Hon...remember you were looking for a one stop shop for mobile gadgets, I found a good one for you -- MobileFun.

Mobile Fun is a site which hold a wide range of products...everything about mobile, from the gadgets to its accessory.

So I browse on their mobile phones and check for iphones! Ha! Behold...there are all the things I needed...I've been looking for...all types of iphone charger, iphone cases and more importantly iphone accessories. WOOT!

This got my adrenaline moving...IT Guy got himself a Nokia N85 and he keeps telling me to get myself an iPhone. I was not really for it as I'm not so particular with tech gadgets escpecially now that I have my Lenovo S10, yet the power of suggestion seems so powerful that I find myself wanting it as days passed.

IT Guy has been telling me to shop around so I can decide what to have exactly...and he means the extra stuff. I do not know much about iPhones so I could not tell him exactly yet what togt me. He seems to get tired waiting to give me this site. This site is awesome. A place to go for people who knows what they're looking for and certainly a good place to visit for those who do not know what they want yet. Like me!

So I'm going to choke myself to sleep now and in the morning I'm going to text the IT Guy what I want!

You may want to visit the site and check what they've got...good for gifts...to loved ones and for yourself.

Let me try to get some sleep now...and I should stop blogging in between dreams. I think I am just sleeptyping (Is there such a word?)!

I so hope NOT...I want that iPhone! LOL
