Today is the second Monday of the month...and yes Christmas is getting nearer...and I always find myself in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the season.
I originally intend to post several things here...but just got a call and well, at 7:41 in the morning...I am not just in a mood to say it's a beautiful Monday!
I am not a self-acclaimed self-reliant person...but to get a call from somebody...to tell me about a problem he is having on the road...when I am still in my pajamas...and knowing I am helpless and knowing my mood swings...and a little twist and turn of my day can make me go back to being pill dependent and all is just outright selfish! First off, not only it will make me feel helpless...it puts me in a panic mood and to reject my call telling my I'm not a help after all?! F@ck that! Why called me in the first place?!?

My love for pearls...yes, like my friends always associate it with me! LOL
I love pearl accessory, they're classic, elegant, feminine and it's good to be minimalist, right?

This is for a hair pin...I got this in one of my travel to Europe. I rarely use this though, it always makes my hair overdressed! LOL
But I love this!
Here are a mix of my pearls and butterfly necklaces and pendants and earrings collection. They may look familiar to some of you as I have showed this in one of our Fun Mondays when we featured our collections!
The one to the left of the red pendant is butterfly pendant on top of a heart. Both the butterfly and the heart has diamond studs (little ones!).
This one is a personal favorite of mine! the pendant is attached to the chain and you just need to slide it to adjust the length, something like that! I had this made when I was in Italy. I always wear this with my black turtle neck blouse.
So, this is me wearing the necklace! This was taken years ago, when I was working with a Software Development Company...
Please excuse my grumpy look, this is how Mariposa looks after being up for 48 hours! And you may discount the smile...I always smile...even when I'm pissed! LOL
This is another butterfly necklace and earrings! It's a set...I wear this for special occasions...
The ring is not part of the set, but it means a lot to me as it's a gift from an old friend when I was still in college.
And what I can't leave the house without?!

And while some people may frown at my hands, I don't care...I love it!
I have some other jewelry...the ones that makes the IT Guy shift from a bf role to bodyguard role when I'm wearing them, but I can't find my camera right now. I think I left it at IT Guy's car yesterday...so I hope you excuse me for my cheat today as all this photos has been blogged already...
Last year was a memorable year as it caused quite a damaged to my collection, I lost pair 2 pairs of earrings while at the mall!!!
But one thing I learn about buying jewelry, never get something that you can't afford to lose!
Last week, I did a quick review on Quantum of Solace and promise to make another one for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. I did watch it Saturday evening with IT Guy and it was fun...fun...FUN!
The opening of the movie was a bitter sweet cute scene, with Alex being away from his Dad and calling his Dad while he was floating at the sea!
Then the fun began...starting with their air adventure! What a flight it was...
Then comes Alex reunion with the his family...
Ah, I want this only to be a quick review...so let me just say we had fun. IT Guy was laughing the whole time...obviously he loves it! I on the other hand...well, I had fun, but I'm not just as passionate about it as I am with James Bond and other action movies...I guess because I can relate more of guns than animal species?! (Yeah, you can laugh but I mean it!)
Monday will not be complete, so here is my take for Music Monday, I Just Don't Want to Be Lonely by Ronnie Dyson...this is my favorite version!
And what prompted me to post this song? Well, this was played in the cab on the way home while I was from the bank this morning...and it get stuck in my head!

(1) I will STORM the world with butterflies!!! Seriously, butterflies are good indicators on how clean and healthy the environment is...so if we have plenty of it, it means our surroundings are clean...
(2) I will STORM the world with food! There will be no hunger... I will make sure there is sustainable production of food and ALL will have access to nutritious food.
(3) Proper health care should be available for ALL.
(4) Everyone should have access to education...
(5) Anyone who will instigate war will be put to prison...at The Boiling Rock!
Now, those are the serious ones...for the silly ones, here they are!
* The word fat will be banned! ALL women will be beautiful and lovely, all they need to do is to declare themselves as such! ;)

Hello folks! Another beautiful Monday has come...hope you are all feeling good and beautiful! Because I am!!!
On a side note, before I do my traditional Monday Fever, let me say this out loud -
One of the most important part of making love is that...it allows you, from time to time, to fall in love again...IT Guy and I are damn lucky to get to do it for 5 years now!
Monday Fever means...Monday is about FUN...more than MANIC and should be full of MUSIC! So, I will do them all here...as usual!

About weeks ago, I did a more or less similar post...as I was tagged by Grey, that was my Quirky Quirks...but for fun, let me do it again here and let me add some to that list.
Here are some of Mariposa's quirks...
(1) I always have my coffee with orange juice (or any fruit juice!). (2) Milk should always be cold...and that's the only way for my system to tolerate it. (3) I'm a slave to massage...and if you are allergic to giving massages, please stay away from me! LOL I ask IT Guy to massage my hand...foot...shoulder while watching TV...and that's true to all the people in the house and my friends... And on the top of that...I get a real, regular massage always and often (read as at least twice a week!). (4) I remember things by associating them with events (actions). Like for instance, in college, studying works best for me if I do it while watching TV or listening to music, because I get to relate it with some particular scenes/ lyrics. And it always works for me! (5) I love garlic bread (especially the stick bread) but I only eat it with banana. (6) And finally, I think my biggest quirk is buying neck ties! Yup, I keep buying neck ties...every time I go shopping and I pass by a nice tie, I buy it. I just keep them all, and as soon as I meet someone...or see someone with a shirt which I think would go best in one of those ties, I give it to them. And I've been doing it since college...of course IT Guy got most it! LOL

I've been absent the past Mondays here, and I'm just so determined to do my usual Monday Fever(Manic, Fun and Music) today, despite all odds! :)
I mentioned in my previous post that I'm back to yoga...and it's just amazing, yet, the amazing feeling is not enough to stop me from getting sick...yup, I'm not well...again! Mariposa's asthma strikes again...and I was in bed with my nebulizer yesterday...what an awful way to spend a Sunday! But, I'm a bit better now...and here I am!

And finally, nothing beats the place of my Mom! I don't really have to go far to enjoy...just recently, I've had one of the greatest vacation I've had...nothing fancy...yet it allowed to try so many things! Truly one of my most wonderful times!

I'm not so fond of cats but the IT Guy loves cats...and in as much as I want to support this initiatives...I just can't come up with my own doodle last minute so instead I'm posting this doodle demo by Petitangegris, hope you have fun!

Hmmm...this is a bit of a challenge for me, really. Oh no, not because I've never been a jerk...but because I think I AM most of the time...especially at work when I am with my "mentally challenged" colleagues!
So, let me tell you a very recent moment I had with a colleague! I call her 32 of her mental speed. Our PC now has at least 2GB of memory (well mostly) so with that said, it's like that is the normal curve of memory capacity right now...but hers? Ha! she got stuck at 32 Kb (take note, small b for bits not bytes!) That how slow she is!
So the other week, we were in a restaurant and we were having dinner with client. It was dinner buffet with a wide selection of food...from Asian...American...European. Of course, Mariposa, who is crazy with sushi and sahimi...(remember that POST?!) I chose nothing but sushis and sashimis!
We're not really into good terms because I'm a jerk and she's 32! LOL So I was minding my business when she said it out loud - "Why do we have to use chopsticks when we are into modern times and we have invented spoons and forks?" Worst, she said that pointing at me because I was with chopsticks!
I have been using chopsticks since I was a kid...so I can use it so well. BUT that did not prompt me to be judgemental towards people who does not know how to use them. In fact, I'm compassionate to people who does not know how and I most of the time, take time teaching them! But to mind people who uses chopsticks on their sushis and sashimis, c'mon!!!
So I looked at her and asked her does she like sushi? Because I can get her some using my chopsticks because modern inventions like spoons and forks (which are metals!) alters the taste of the sushi so it's not wise to use those on them! (I know it's a crazy idea but my Japanese GrandMa used to tell me that, so she either use wood or ceramic chopsticks...at worst her hand! See? Spoon and Fork were not options!) And I offered help because I know she does not know how to use the chopsticks!
I was so ready to let it go when I saw her still continue making a fuss on it...then comes my turn! She was using the wrong knife for her bread...and was using the wrong fork for her salad...and she forgot to put her napkin on her lap...it was on her freaking table mat the whoel freaking time! So I looked at her and told her...use this for your salad...that for the butter of your bread...and you don't eat your appetizers with your dessert!
So I look at everybody and told them, well, I think regardless if we use chopsticks or those modern inventions...the most important thing to remember is to know how and when to use them...ah, my Mom calls that table manners!!! Next topic! ROFL
She got so embarrassed I guess that she left early...but we hardly notice her absence...after all, 32Kb does not mean a lot! I'm not sorry...not a bit...not at all! THAT was nothing compared to ALL the things she did to me and other people at work! For some of you who has been reading my blog for over a year would know how much stress and emotional turmoil this b*tch had caused me...and I'm so ready to forget compassion if it's about her!
I know...Jerk begets Jerk! :P

I have several heroes in my life...but this week is timely for 2 important events and occasion in my life...which prompts me to make my Fun Monday dedicated to only 2 people in my life.
First...
This Thursday...May 8...will be my 5th year with the IT Guy! Yes folks, we've been together that long...and hopefully we get to formalized everything next year.
Yummy (aka IT Guy) is my hero! His technical expertise in information technology had carried me through so many difficult situations...BUT of course it goes beyond that. Yummy is my best friend...my comforter...my devil's advocate...and the best lover I've had! With him I just don't have to explain myself...he accepted me...and he has been my confidante for years now. There is nothing about me that he does not know. And same with me.
I've had so many struggles in my life...my career...my relationships with friends...family...plus my extreme moods...and HE made it ALL easy for me. So my the IT Guy has the following attributes (in alphabet!) of a hero - Agreeable, Bountiful, Constant, Dutiful, Easy, Faithful, Gallant, Honorable, Ingenious, Kind, Loyal, Mild, Noble, Officious, Prudent, Quiet, Rich (in many ways!), Secret (we do have ALOT of this!), True, Valiant, Wise; the X indeed, is too harsh a letter to agree with him, but he is Young and Zealous.

Mother's Day is around the corner...and I would love to start the mood for that special occasion today...though I know celebrating it for one week won't give justice to ALL mothers...it should be everyday, YET to overdo it in a week time won't do any harm...
My ultimate hero would be my Mom (Dad, you will have your turn come June, don't be envious...okay? LOL) I would know how I could articulate more what I have written for her on her birthday last year!
Mom loves me unconditionally...to a point that I feel I don't deserve ALL the things she had done for me. I can take anything and everything because when I come home...I know my Mom will be there to tell me I'm still the best daughter she has (well I'm her only daughter...LOL) and that she and Dad are so proud of me!
With that said, I would say no one in the world can take the place of my Mom. Right or wrong, I am always right from her viewpoint. She may have scold me a thousand times...but only for the the little things...for the big ones...she gives me her HUG, her LOVE and her UNDERSTANDING!
What I am today...who I am now...whatever I have...and ALL I ever hope to be...I owe it to my Mom! Happy Mother's Day Mom...you're my hero...

Last Saturday, Yummy (aka IT Guy) picked me up from work...and on the way home it was raining so HARD...then he looked at me and smile...and well, I was thinking what he was thinking...or he was thinking what I was thinking...We used to drive south of the island ALOT but somehow due to our hectic schedule had not been able to do so...so AT THAT MOMENT, we just decided to give it a GO!
So we drove up the mountain few kilometers from the place I live...and...the view from there was just AMAZING! I have only my cellphone to take pictures...but it was such a -

I'm back and in as much as I wanted it to be back with a bang...I just can't seem to find the inspiration to do so...maybe I am still tired...maybe I still have to get the feel of blogging again...or maybe I'm just too emotionally wasted right now...or just of those days!
So, after missing the action for weeks, I'm bringing back Monday Fever tradition! So, get ready folks as I bring to you 3 exciting Monday activities in 1 post! LOL

This sounds easy and could have been easy for me had I read this days ago, or even yesterday. I've had some favorite walking spots, and with my POWER bar so down right now, I don't think I can give justice to them through words...
I love to walk...and I used to walk a lot...it's just that right now, only a particular walk gets to my mind and it makes me chuckle!
Last weekend I was in Bohol and that trip reminds of two walks...short walks but trust me it was like forever that moment! Ha ha ha! We were on our way to visit an island across the resort, and on the way to the boat, I was so hesitant to step on the water for fear that my slippers would get messed...yes, I'm that crazy...crazy to mind my slippers and crazy to bring a slippers/ sandals not suitable for beach! So this good friend of mine, offered to carry me to the boat! LOL Yup, he did carry me through folks! It was so funny because I never tried THAT in my life...good thing it was not in Cebu or it would have been all over the paper the next day! Then, on the way home, at the port/pier/ quay whatever you want to call it, I was so tired and HE carried me again! LOL Yummy...peace...I told you about this and I just have post it here because it still make me laugh so hard and blush! I wish I have photos to show...but if only I'm that good to put words here that would give enough justice to those two scenes...I bet you would be LOL as well and envious too! :P

MANIC Monday today is about RIP. This is another challenge!
All I can think of are the RIPtides that sweep us out to sea before we know it, before we can account for it. The waves of remembrance did not come gently though... I was throbbing, shaking, struggling hoping to find some semblance of calm in the RIPtides that were tossing me about like a piece of shore-bereft driftwood. It was a hell ride minus an off ramp...A splayed fragmentation of memories with YOU! And right now, we are still together at this moment only now in digitized space, regardless of how we might conceptualize the being of the past...and that of time to come!
I was blubbering I know...I just miss someone right now...a very good friend of mine! So, my MUSIC Monday is for YOU! I miss you...
