The Reset I Didn't Know I Needed

There's a difference between exhaustion that drains you and exhaustion that heals you. I learned that this week at Boracay.

It wasn't a special trip, no big occasion, no milestone to mark. Just me, some friends, and my husband, deciding we needed sand under our feet and salt in the air. Sometimes the best resets happen exactly like that — unplanned, unpressured, just showing up for yourself when you realize you've been running on empty.

I went in thinking I needed to come back energized, buzzing, ready to conquer the world. Instead, I came back tired. But it's the kind of tired that sleep can fix — not the kind that lingers in your bones for weeks. And honestly? That's exactly what I needed.

Sometimes the body has to admit it needs rest before it can actually receive it. My practice — the meditation, the yoga, the energy work I do — has taught me that healing isn't always about feeling instantly lighter. Sometimes it's about letting the fatigue finally settle in, because that's the body's way of saying I trust you enough to stop now.

The sea water did its part. The breeze did its part. Walking barefoot in that famous white sand grounded me in a way that no amount of sitting still indoors ever could — it was its own quiet meditation, one foot in front of the other, present in every step, laughter with friends drifting somewhere in the background.

I didn't leave the beach glowing. I left present. Grounded. Aligned in the way that matters most — not performative energy, but a quiet knowing that I'm going to be okay.

Rest is not the opposite of growth. It's part of it.

Good night, my loves.

Party With The Nifties

I have been wanting for months now to start blogging again.
But what do I blog about? I have nothing to say.
So today, I am trying to overcome this sill 'when you have nothing to say syndrome' just to get me going. Just to keep my finger busy...and I will keep hitting the keyboard with whatever nonsense excuse there is to talk about. Ha!

While no doubt the holiday season is keeping everyone in a rush...I on the other hand seem to slowly find my balance, and hopefully I get to have that full rest before Christmas! Last weekend was fun, I had a great time with the girls, and I promise I am going to blog about each of them! Yup, soon!

These are snapshots of the fun times we had...

Good food. Good wine. Great friends. Indeed, I am blessed.
