On the WBAM FM morning show in Chicago, the DJs play a game where they award winners great prizes. The game is called "Mate Match." The DJs call someone at work and ask if they are married or seriously involved with someone. If the contestant answers yes, he or she is then asked 3 random yet highly personal questions.

The person is also asked to divulge the name of their partner (with phone number) for verification. If their partner answers those same three questions correctly, they both win the prize.

One particular game, however, several months ago made the City of Big Shoulders drop to its knees with laughter and is possibly the funniest thing I've heard yet. Anyway, here's how it all went down:

DJ: "Hey! This is Edgar on WBAM. Have you ever heard of 'Mate Match'?"

Contestant: (laughing) "Yes I have."

DJ: "Great! Then you know we're giving away a trip to Orlando,Florida if you win. What is your name? First only please."

Contestant: "Brian."

DJ: "Brian, are you married or what?"

Brian: "Yes."

DJ: "Yes? Does that mean you're married or you're what?"

Brian: (laughing nervously) "Yes, I am married."

DJ: "Thank you. Now, what is your wife's name? First only please."

Brian: "Sara."

DJ: "Is Sara at work, Brian?"

Brian: "She is gonna kill me."

DJ: "Stay with me here, Brian! Is she at work?"

Brian: (laughing) Yes, she's at work."

DJ: "Okay, first question - when was the last time you had sex?"

Brian: "She is gonna kill me."

DJ: "Brian! Stay with me here!"

Brian: "About 8 o'clock this morning."

DJ: "Atta boy, Brian."

Brian: (laughing sheepishly) "Well..."

DJ: "Question #2 - How long did it last?"

Brian: "About 10 minutes."

DJ: "Wow! You really want that trip, huh? No one would ever have said that if a trip wasn't at stake."

Brian: "Yeah, that trip sure would be nice."

DJ: "Okay. Final question. Where did you have sex at 8 o'clock this morning?"

Brian: (laughing hard) "I, ummm, I, well..."

DJ: "This sounds good, Brian. Where was it at?"

Brian: "Not that it was all that great, but her Mom is staying for a couple of weeks..."

DJ: "Uh huh..."

Brian: "...and the Mother-in-law was in the shower at the Time."

DJ: "Atta boy, Brian."

Brian: "On the kitchen table."

DJ: "Not that great?? That is more adventure than the previous hundred times I've done it. Okay folks, I will put Brian on hold, get his wife's work number and call her up. You listen to this. (3 minutes of commercials follow.)

DJ: "Okay audience, let's call Sarah, shall we?" (touchtones ringing)

Clerk: "Kinkos."

DJ: "Hey, is Sarah around there somewhere?"

Clerk: "This is she."

DJ: "Sarah, this is Edgar with WBAM. We are live on the air right now and I've been talking with Brian for a couple of hours now."

Sarah: (laughing) "A couple of hours?"

DJ: "Well, a while now. He is on the line with us. Brian knows not to give any answers away or you'll lose. Sooooooo...do you know the rules of 'Mate match'?"

Sarah: "No."

DJ: "Good!"

Brian: (laughing)

Sarah: (laughing) "Brian, what the hell are you up to?"

Brian: (laughing) "Just answer his questions honestly, okay? Be completely honest."

DJ: "Yeah yeah yeah. Sure. Now, I will ask you 3 questions, Sarah. If your answers match Brian's answers, then the both of you will be off to Orlando, Florida for 5 days on us. Disney World. Sea World. Tickets to the Magic's game. The whole deal. Get it Sarah?"

Sarah: (laughing) "Yes."

DJ: "All right. When did you last have sex, Sarah?"
Sarah: "Oh God, Brian....uh, this morning before Brian went to work."

DJ: "What time?"

Sarah: "Around 8 this morning."

DJ: "Very good. Next question. How long did it last?"

Sarah: "12, 15 minutes maybe."

DJ: "Hmmmm. That's close enough. I am sure she is trying to protect his manhood. We've got one last question, Sarah. You are one question away from a trip to Florida. Are you ready?"

Sarah: (laughing) "Yes."

DJ: "Where did you have it?"

Sarah: "OH MY GOD, BRIAN!! You didn't tell them that, did you?"

Brian: "Just tell him, honey."

DJ: "What is bothering you so much,Sarah?"

Sarah: "Well, it's just that my Mom is vacationing with us and..."

DJ: "She saw?"

Sarah: "BRIAN?!"

Brian: "No, no I didn't..."

DJ: "Ease up there, sister. Just messing' with your head. Your answer, please?"

Sara: "Dear Lord...I cannot believe you told them this."

Brian: "Come on, honey, it's for a free trip to Florida."

DJ: "Let's go, sister. We ain't got all day here. Where did you do it?"

Sarah: (short pause) "In the ass."

(long, long pause)

DJ: "We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors."

Today, I Mourn

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was as his birth records were lost long ago in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or a sticking plaster to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust, his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility and his son Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers: I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame and I'm A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Oh how I miss you so dearly, and most terribly at work!

TMI Tuesday #124

I did the questions for TMI Tuesday...initially I plan to do it with a friend, and his suggestions just came in a bit late...the impulsive me already sent the list.

I hope I did not suck TMI T today with my questions! LOL

1. What can you consider as the greatest thing you've ever done for/ to yourself?

I decided to be more kind to myself and to forgive myself for all the things I sucked!

2. What/ Which part of your life you think you could have done better and why?

My professional career! I would have spent more time figurnig out what is it I really wanted to do. And I would have quit the JOB I have right now after within the first week!

3. Do you have that one person whom you consider to be the wind beneath your wings?

Persons actually...first would be my Mom, then Yummy and my two great friends, SJI and Red! They made me ask what good things I have done in my life to deserve them.

4. Tell us about your longest relationship.

I've always had long relationship, my first was about 4 years, and my current one right now...would be 5 years this May!

5. In a relationship, when do you get to that point of enough is enough?

I got this question from that movie The Mexican, it had made me think since then, especially everytime my personal relationship gets a bit rocky. In the movie the answer was NEVER, and all these years I'm telling myself that. Yet, we all know that is too idealistic. So I guess, what can make me leave is when there is already physical violence involved...so far there is none! ;)

Seriously, once you are sure that you have fallen out of love...that every moment with the person you started to loathe already, then I guess it is time to step out. It's no longer an issue on what is wrong with your partner or with the relationship, because it is already YOU/ ME who does not want it.

Bonus (as in optional):What is that one intimate moment with someone you miss so much and what are you willing to risk to have another moment of it. ;)

Honestly I have no idea what's in my mind when I was making this question, I'm guessing I was missing somebody that moment but not enough for me to swallow my pride and type to tell him that. With that said, I also don't think whatever I am missing with that person to be enough to risk everything I have right now. There was a time I thought I can, but then that person made me aware and thanks God!

Before you go, I would like to share something I stole from Jamie.
Mariposa, is this month's cover of Vogue!

Not only that...

Fun Monday

It's a beautiful Monday once again!

Fun Monday today is What's in a Name and What's in our Plate! ;)

(1) What's in a Name?

Mariposa's Tales...

Mariposa is just a girl who loves butterfly...is a Butterfly...and in many ways!

Initially, I wanted this to called Mariposa's Tales Of Madness...but for some reason, I just stick to Mariposa's Tales...

This site holds the many stories of the life of a butterfly and that of places and people she where/ whom she flatters around.

For years now, this site has become so much part of me...so much that at some point I'm not sure what this site has become or what have I become out of it. Is it the site becoming so ME or is it the other way around? ;)

So in my URL so see it's
http://www.mariposatells.blogspot.com/ because Mariposa tells Mariposa's Tales...which are just ramblings of a butterfly lady who notices the strangest things and the simplest pleasures in life and needed a place to put them down in words...if she can find the words.

(2) What's In My Plate?

And now...what's the easiest and fastest way to Mariposa's heart is you are to pass through her stomach? I present to you Mariposa's all-time favorite, I can eat them every day of my life...LOL

These are sets of sushi and sashimi...

And this is my favorite California Maki!

Ako ay Pilipino

Today I'm hosting Fun Monday but still I don't want to skip Manic Monday and Music Monday.

I apologize for not being so active today...not so usual for me yet, I got caught up with some things...

Twenty-two years ago, the Filipino people showed to the whole world the meaning of real power. Yes, today is EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary...and though I was still so young then, my parents...and the school I've been with for 8 long years did not fail to teach to appreciate its value.

The title of this post is written in our national language and it means "I am a Filipino." The country today is facing another political crisis...so many issues that I chose not to discuss in this site. I have shared relationships with people in the government and people who are not so favorable with the government and for somebody who joined the political arena, serving as head our our Local Youth Council at the age of 16...people expect me to be so eagerly involved in politics...at the very least involved in the discussions....so I'm face with the question what is political stand...or at least my inclination. My loyalty to my country and to my people. The PEOPLE is my party and that is where my support is. Whatever is noble...whatever is true...whatever is good for the people, there I AM.

So today, please allow me to share two "EXPLOSIVES", which is the theme of Manic Monday today. These two songs means so much to me that it never fails to make me cry. There are times that these songs give me tears of gladness...for the depth of my proud I am of my race cannot be measured. But right now, I'm crying because I feel so sad. I feel so sad for the people who made EDSA Revolution possible 22 years ago only for their effort to be forgotten...I'm sad for people who use people power for their own interest. I'm sad for those PEOLE who had died withouth seeing the DAWN. I'm sad for I fear for the future of the Filipino Youth.

The title of this song Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo means, "The Filipinos Offer to the World" referring to people power, a peaceful way of change and revolution.

This song Magkaisa is call for Unity. I really love this song!

Magkaisa

Ngayon ganap ang hirap sa mundo
Unawa ang kailangan ng tao
Ang pagmamahal sa kapwa'y ilaan
Isa lang ang ugat na ating pinagmulan
Tayong lahat ay magkakalahi
Sa unos at agos ay huwag padadala

Chorus
Panahon na (may pag-asa kang matatanaw)
Ng pagkakaisa (bagong umaga, bagong araw)
Kahit ito (sa atin Siya'y nagmamahal)
Ay hirap at dusa
Magkaisa (may pag-asa kang matatanaw)
At magsama (bagong umaga, bagong araw)
Kapit-kamay (sa atin Siya'y nagmamahal)
Sa bagong pag-asa

Ngayon may pag-asang natatanaw
May bagong araw, bagong umaga
Pagmamahal ng Diyos, isipin mo tuwina

(Repeat Chorus)
Magkaisa (may pag-asa kang matatanaw)
At magsama (bagong umaga, bagong araw)
Kapit-kamay (sa atin Siya'y nagmamahal)
Sa bagong pag-asa

May God Bless the Philippines and the Filipino people.

Oblivion

The spring flush was characteristic. The flowers blushed and the grass smiled green. Life thronged the verdant valley and songbirds filled the cheery air with lush ballads. The sun shone down moistly at first, but later became stronger. As summer rolled around, the songbirds sang clearly, serenading the late hours in clear night skies. The smell of dried hay mingled with barbecue smoke and tinged the stars. But as months progressed, the nights grew shorter, and the sun covered itself in a crocheted shawl of clouds. The wind picked up and cut right through to the bone. The songbirds no longer sang, as the driving gales speckled the landscape with white. No one knew what became of the songbirds. There were some, then there was one, and then there were none.

The sandy beach was characteristic. The moist salt-laden wind ruffled its smooth starry sand into a seaside erg, filled with little barchans. The barchan was a work of wonder, a wee crescent-shaped sand dune, with two mischievous horns curving away from the wind. And during the day as the wind turned, they playfully turned too. Like a school ground full of children playing 'Simon says..'. As evening approached, the sun's glowing orb dimmed, and cast softer orange upon the shiny white sand. The sunset over the sea was always a thing of beauty, one that would calm even the savage beast. But not all was well with this picturesque scene. As the sea rushed back in with tidal urgency, it swallowed up all the little dunes. By the dozen they perished as the water levelled them to mere mortal sand. There were some, then there was one, and then there were none.

The sweet memory was characteristic. Your toothy smile was always omniscient, as you sat across me with your rum, as you scrunched up against my shoulder and we watched movies, as I lay beside you with my head resting on your arm staring into your eyes. Your lips were inviting. The gentle curve of your nose like a water slide propelling me into free fall into the deep pools of light in your eyes. And we talked, and we laughed. We laughed about nothing and talked about anything. Then we talked about nothing and laughed about anything. All the time we kept building these little memories. Like little pinpricks of diamond light in the black cape of sky. But late at night, in the darkest hour when only the three witches that stirred the simmering cauldron were up and about, one by one these stars were snuffed out. In their place remained little black dots as visible as a missing button on a black coat. And yet the memories kept fading away. There were some, then there was one, and then there were none.

Striking Balance

If you get to check my PC logs...both from work and home...as well as laptops...and internet access via my mobilephones, one might wonder what time of the day I really get to have REAL and meaningful rest/ sleep because those logs will tell you that I'm practically wired 24 by 7!

Today's technology just afforded us way too much multi-tasking! I did mention it in one of my post last week that I'm such a multitasker right? A chronic one at that! I just have all the technology that would allow me to be connected 24 hours a day...and I'm quite amuse and satisfied with this.

But what happens when we become addicted to this connectivity? Do we exclude the other important dimensions of our life?

My pendulum personality would have rushed myself into forming thousands of ways to answer that question...yet I chose to slow down this time and ask myself further questions...

(1) What does it mean to have work/life balance?

(2) What can happen to you when you allow yourself to become out of balance?

I wish I have meaningful answers to those questions. So instead, let me just share with you Stephen Covey's thoughts, but before that I would love to hear yours! Care to share?

Mr. Linky Tips

As promised here is a step by step procedure on how to add Mr. Linky into you site.

1. Go to http://www.blenza.com/ and create your account. You need to enter there the site where you will put the linky.

2. Once you have created your account already, you would see that there are choices of menus at the top most of the page, click on wizard and your page should look similar to the one below (feel free to click on the photo to see a larger image!)

The first section allows you to choose where you will use the linky. For my blog I chose "Blogger new or upgraded".

The second part lets you choose the type of Linky you want to use, the one that you see in my my page is the second one.

Then it let you choose the type of Meme, Fun Monday is not listed there yet, so just go ahead skip that part. (Unless you are using the linky for something that is listed there, then you may choose.)

Then click on the Generate Code button.

3. Once you have generated your code, you have to add it to you site. Your code should look like this.

Take note that there two sets of code in the page. The first one, you need to add that to your header one time, the second one to that post where you want to have you linky. You may notice that within that page is a set of instructions too on how to add the code but I will show you the simple way...the way I did it.

4. Adding the code to your HEADER.

Log in to your blog account, so my case that is BLOGGER.com. Once you are in your Dashboard, click the Layout of that site you registered at Linky.

Then click on the Edit HTML tab. It should look like this.

Just in case something goes wrong, please make sure you have backed up your SITE by clicking on Download Full Template. (That allows you to save your file into your PC.)

After save a separate file into your PC, under Edit HTML at the upper right part of the box containing your code, please check on that box that allow you to Expand Widget Templates.

Then, go to the set of codes slowly and look this code:

Then put the cursor after > of
to allow extra space, then you paste there the first code that you have from the Linky Page. (Remember that 2 codes we generated earlier?) To do that, you go to that white space in Linky, put the cursor in the first code, do a right click and choose select all to make sure all the codes are highlighted. Then make another right click and choose COPY. Then go back to that space you created after the code
then do another right click and choose PASTE. (Alternatively you can also use the CRTL ALL, CTRL C and CTRL V keys for select all, copy and paste functions.)

After that, your HTML code should appear like below;

Then try to see the preview to examine if your site looks usual. And if there is nothing wrong, hit Save Template.

You only do this once. After this a bit complicate process, you can add as many linkies to your post without going back to the step 4.

5. Adding the code to your post.

REmeber we generated 2 sets of codes from Linky right? And we have only used the first one? The second one is for you to add in your post. Usually you add that at the end part. So once you are done with your post, click on Edit HTML tab, go to the end part and just add that code. (Same select ALL, COPY and PASTE procedure we did in 4 applies.) And it should look like this:

This is for BLOGGER, the new version. For the classic version, same thing with, just go to Edit HTML. I'm not familiar with the other medium, THOUGH, Linky itself provides a lot of support and tutorials in their page.

I'm coming up with this one as an alternative since reading their instructions seemed scary and a bit more complicated than the actual. ;)

If you have more questions, please email me. I can also add the code myself if you wish...

Hope to see many Linkies in our site come Fun Monday!

I need A Vacation Away From Myself

I am skilled at making everything look good on the surface, but something isn't quite right. It feels as if the truth keeps slipping away from me just as I get closer to it. And I'm trying to make the most sense out of it.

My mind is tired...my body aches. I don't have fever...but I'm feeling I'm suffering from some sort! Muscle pain is horrific...nothing too serious, yet everything seems to be a discomfort.

I skipped work yesterday to just stay in bed. I had been sleeping most of the time since weekend, waking up TIRED.

My mind is in a race and it is stressing my body!

I'm trying to shelve my mind. I'm trying to make my thoughts STOP. I'm trying not to focus on everything.

Ah, compartmentalization, I beseech you!

This was originally written last Feb. 19 at around 8:27 PM. I wanted to publish this to RealMental, yet while waiting for it to get to that site, I'm publishing it HERE.

1. Which one turns you on more Ink or piercing? Why?

It really depends..it's more what with whom! See some looks good in ink some in pierce...

2. What ink do you have? If none, what would you get and and where?

I used to have a small bugs bunny in my leg...but Mom had it removed! That was years ago, I was still 17...now, there's not even a trace of it! LOL

3. What piercing do you have? If none, what would you get and and where?

Ear pierce? 1 in the left and 2 in the right

4. Any other adornments you like to do for your lover or have then do for you?

Doesn't really matter...it's more on how he carries himself!

5. Of all of the above is there anything that is an immediate Turn-Off?

A line of pierce in the face...I might mistaken him as somebody a tribe or from the carnival!

Bonus (as in optional): If money/work place rules/your life/whatever what ALL would you do to your body in the name of sexual or just general adornment?

Maintain a beautiful, radiant young looking skin! Ah, and I want to maintain my waistline! LOL

Monday Fever Once Again!

It's a beautiful Monday once again...and I rejoice for the sunny morning! Yes, the SUN is UP! Ater several days of raining, I see the SUN! WOOT!

FUN MONDAY this week is hosted by Sayre and this week's theme is -

"take a picture of the things that make you laugh along the way"

So here are some of the things that I see on the way to work that makes me laugh!

(1) Here is Job Ad sign that makes me half sigh and half giggle -

(2) And this one, ha! This is owned by a junk buyer/ dealer, not really sure what he does exactly but that is what I gathered from Yummy explanation when I asked him.

This thing made me say arggghhh! Because his "helicopter" looks better than what my group did in our Miss Saigon production in high school!

(3) My office is in an IT zone...and found this sign in the stairs of one of the building there, not our building though!

(4) This is in one of the PARK near the IT Park (zone) where my office is... You are free to guess what it means...

I will start with...

...don't sit on the prick?

...dogs are not allowed to sit on their poo?

...please feel free to sahre your thoughts! LOL

I will be hosting next week's Fun Monday, so please be back anytime this week for next week's theme. I have several in my mind right now but need to decide for the final theme, I'm so excited!

I hope to get a warm response as usual! ;)

Please check other Fun Monday Participants!

Feast One Hundred & Seventy Nine

Friday's Feast is something I got his from Live From Waterloo. There has many many attempts participate in this fun FRIDAY'S FEAST but only TODAY I have been successful!

Appetizer

Name one thing that is unique about you.
I AM into MULTI-Tasking! That is fortunately and unfortunately...how UNIQUE that makes me not sure...I'm sure other people with mercurial mind gets to do that too! LOL

So I can write/read blog(s) while talking to somebody on the phone, balancing my bank statements, getting ready to BED! Ha!

And to add to that, I HAVE A FREAKING MEMORY! I can remember exactly what a person said...and what she/he wears on a particular day/time five years ago...but may FORGET to do a Meme or TAG I just commit to do yesterday...but then, I might remember it years later. See? Weird!

Soup

Fill in the blank: My favorite _________ is __________ but I like _________ too.

My favorite color is RED but I like BLACK too.

Salad

What type of wood do you have for your home’s furnishings?
Very varied...from NArra, Molave to Mahogany! Those are all hard woods and NARRA is a bit hard to find in the market and is the national tree of the Philippines!

Main Course

Who do you talk to most often on the phone?

Ha, Yummy! Mostly because I just want to bug him...okay, just want to hear his voice...need him to check the bank...need him to passby the pharmacy for me...want him to read a blog I just posted...or want him to come home for lunch because I miss him?! Let's move on before you call me NUTS, oh, you just did?

Dessert

What level of responsibility do you have in your job?

Supposedly "HIGH" level...I say supposed because, I'm the only one person dedicate to do continuous process improvement" for all our centers (read as global!). I report directly to our Operations Director who is based in the HEAD Office. My greatest challenge at work right now is to push the "need for improvement" mindset, as far as allignment of process with policy is concern...and ALOT of other related things. I'm stopping here before I write a book! Bleh!

Happy Friday everyone! Start planning your weekends...that IF you haven't done that yet!

You are welcome to join FRIDAY'S FEAST too!

Today Is...

...Wednesday!

Finally, Wednesday is here!

So what's the fuss with Wednesday? Nothing really, it's just the middle of the week and I want to post something here...and my brain seemed to stop working the moment my fingers touch the keyboard.

So let me talk about TODAY.

The mid-day of the week is named for the Norse God, Odin. He was also known as Woden or Wotan. Unlike many of the other days of the week, this day did not correspond roughly with the Roman designation for the day. (The Roman's named Wednesday for the messenger God - Mercury - In Romanian, the day is still known as miercuri). The early Scandinavians and Germans believed that Odin was the chief God of Asgard and as such deserved to have a day of the week named for him. The Anglo-Saxons used the word,
Wodnesdaeg.

Wednesday is often referred to as "hump day" because of its position as the middle day of the work week. If the work week were a hill, then Wednesday would be the crest. It is all down hill from there. Whether the down hill ride is a coast or a descent into a swamp is left to the individual, as for mine...IT IS fortunately and unfortunately.

By the way, please visit Mariposa's Wordless Wednesday entry - Temptation...

Hope you're week is getting better as you hit Wednesday! ;)

[ADD ON]

I have been tagged by Schmutzie to do a MEME. I love MEMEs! And since today, I'm not just wordless at all...ah, what a timely tag!

The rules:

  1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
  2. Open the book to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the next three sentences.
  5. Tag five people.
The book nearest me is "What Makes A Leader - Key to Achieving Your goals while Encouraging Others" by Stan Toler. There are several books in my desk actually but this is what I grab first! ;)

Page 123, Sentences 6 to 8 -

"Effective leaders not only listen, they respond by going the extra mile in trying to meet customer needs. Leaders listen to their team. What do the team members need?"

Let me try...I tag the following wonderful people -

(2) Sid of Verbal Diarrhoe

(3) Gabriel of Live from Waterloo

Thank God It's Monday!

Thank God it's Monday!

And Mariposa is on her Monday Fever once again!

Love is in the corner, and MANIC MONDAY welcomes the week with HEARTS. Yes, the theme for this week is HEART.

This is a photo I took years ago...yes, I left my heart at the shore...of love.

Crown Princess is hosting this week's FUN MONDAY, and she says -

Music plays a vital role in most of our lives. It is everywhere. I want to hear the ONE song that is you. The song that whenever it is heard, you smile. I am not looking for the soundtrack of your life, just that one song. Your friends hear it and think of you. You can post the video, the lyrics, the wav file. However you want to post it is great.

So, that makes today a MUSIC MONDAY! Oh what fun...they share the same theme.

So here is that ONE song that always make me smile...because people close to me always associate this song with me...I would love to think in a good way! ;)

She's Always A Woman
by Billy Joel

She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child,
But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her, as long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me

CHORUS:
Oh--she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh--and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

And she'll promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you're bleedin'
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she's always a woman to me
--Mhmm--

Bridge

CHORUS:
Oh--she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh--and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind
And she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
--Mhmm--
