While I am trying to calm the storm in my schedule, I am slowly making my list of things to do once I'm over my busyness. As most of you know, I am always forward looking. Ha!
If there is one thing that this place has that I can't find in Cebu, it's space. And I mean it literally. Here are vast of land...plain land for that matter. In fact as I have mentioned in one of my recent post, the house I got has a good space for garden. Well, as I stare at it every morning with my coffee I see that it can be more than that. I think it can accomodate the new hobby which I have been contemplating for months now - hobby farming.
I am a lover of veggies and that makes me miss Cebu. For whatever reason it's a bit hard to find fresh vegetables here and the way they are priced are just ridiculous. In Cebu we were able to grow some veggies in our garden and so I thought I might do it here. So for the past days I have been reading about farming.
I can't wait to have something like this in my garden!

My Home Inside My Home
As your hostess this week...here is what I dreamed up! The big question is ....What is the favorite room in your home? Tell us why and show us a photo if you can.
I am guessing most people would say it's their bedroom, but well not for Mariposa. I am rarely in my bedroom when I am home! LOL
The past months, I've been spending most of my time at the kitchen. Lately I find myself baking some cakes or pastries or just trying out some new recipes. This is something new but I am seeing this to last very long.
This is the snapshot of the small kitchen where I always bake the famous Mariposa's Lengua de Gato and Banana cake. I say famous because lately I've been getting huge orders and more than the money I am making I am enjoying the feeling of it, SO MUCH!
This was before the repainting project...I apologize I don't have a very recent photo as I just got back from a trip and is recovering from flu.
Just when the IT Guy was ready to take a shot, the nephew came running to make sure he joins in the photo shoot! LOL
Next photo shows Mariposa and the nephew more settled! I am having such a good relationship with this cute oven of mine! It doesn't eat space, it serves my need and is very gas efficient.
My next favorite part of the house is not really a room, it's the garden! I LOVE staring at the greens and I love tending the plants.
In the garden is also where I play with the nephew! IT Guy and I spend some of our lazy Sunday afternoon here playing with the nephew.
And that's it for my Fun Monday post, you just have my home inside my home. Let me head over to our hosts to check what the others have...
I wish all you a great week!

A Home Makeover
Please bear with me as I am still not over with my passion to remodel the home. I would like to talk more about it today and I will be discussing some specific components at home which I am particularly looking into for improvement. As I have mentioned few back, I just did repainting the exterior of the house as well as the living room. However I am still not over with the other parts such as the kitchen and the windows!
So you may say, what's up with the windows and kitchen. Well, they need a makeover. I feel that I need that windows not only dressed up but changed. It seems to misfit there after the repainting, that's all! And plus the fact that I'm trying draw more lights inside the house and all that. For the kitchen, well, I can have the the cabinets remodeled and looks like the countertop needs replacement. And I just need a good kitchen design to help me come up with some nice concept for those.
So I am looking around for some online help and get into this Home Pro Improvement resource site. They offer free consultation for replacement window installation, and as I investigated further, they have a wide choices of energy-efficient windows. Did I just talk about me looking for those kind of windows?! Amazing! Not only that, I also got some really nice Sears kitchen design which just makes me nuts!
If you are also into home makeover, they are definitely a site to go to.
