Wisdom and Courage

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure;
then peace-loving, considerate, submissive,
full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

James 3:17

It's Thursday once again...feels like only yesterday I hit publish for my Thankful Thursday.

This post is a little late than my usual posting time, the good thing is it allows me to visit Lynn our host first...

So allow me to start this post with a big --

Happy Birthday Lynn!!!
Cheers for more wonderful years to come...
and may God continue to shower you with graces and blessings!

I never thought I'd make it here today, so the fact that I'm here is something to be grateful for! I've been on sick leave for two days now...my asthma is visiting me again and looks like it's here to stay...normally I would push myself to work and just ignore my body...yet, I'd like to thank the gift of wisdom for knocking my senses. I am happy to know better...so I opted to take medication and rest. Two days rest means missing 2 nights of work. Working on a night shift when you have asthma is not just wise...I've figured all these years! Ha!

Last night I got up to take medication and saw a text a message in the cellphone from a colleague that my boss wanted me to talk to her ASAP. I went online and told her I will do it as soon as I'm better and is back at work. This morning I saw messages telling me she needed me to address what the other manager has been asking me. Then I saw an email...ranting how come I did not deliver what they've been asking. Just a nice way to greet a sick person good morning, don't you think?!

Anyway I replied to that email, steamed off a bit and was finally able to say what I've been meaning to say all this time.

For everything that happened I am grateful to have friends who are very supportive to me and understanding.

I am grateful more than anything for the gift of wisdom. The wisdom to know what is right and where I stand on things. Of course I still have so much to learn, yet all I know for now is if there is something I wish to change, I will be that change first.

They say WISDOM is knowing what to do next...SKILL is knowing how to do it...and VIRTUE is doing it.

I am grateful for my knowledge and skills...and everyday I pray for strength to let me do what I needed to do. Indeed wisdom must come with courage!

I am grateful for this community I found here...you have made me smile many times in many ways! Thank you ALL!

Please check Thankful Thursday
an
d together let us celebrate
all the
things we should
be grateful for!

With a grateful heart,
