Wordly Monday!!!

Hello everyone!

I know, I know...how come I seem to be doing only a weekly post...well, things are just a bit hectic for me the past days...but I'm trying not to miss Busy Monday!

Today will be FUN, MANIC and MUSICAL!!!

Mo of Manic Monday made BIG this week's theme...

Hmmm...BIG...like, Big, in the Sex and City?! He makes me miss Ace so much...so that character that first came to my mind...and sent me to Oblivion for minutes...

But, back to this post...

Add to that, Emily and Jennifer of Mothers of Brothers set the following challenge for FUN Monday -

Choose your favorite words or words. And the trouble is - it’s hard to choose. We bloggers love all words. But luckily, these are words and not people so we don’t have to worry about offending the words we didn’t choose.

Oh well...FUN yet MANIC indeed!

Well...well...

I'm a lover of WORDS...yet, there are words, that are quite BIG meaning as far as Mariposa's glossary of terms is concern...

Before I go too serious with my business today...let me tell you that today --

I'm tired...

And energized...

Both at the same time!

Today, I had my wall climb after a very long time...and damn, it feels so GOOD!

It always feels GOOD to scale your obstacles...

and CONQUER heights!

To be at the TOP...to LEAD!

To REACH your DESTINY!

It's such an ACHIEVEMENT to get to the TOP...

Ans scaling your way down...feels like FLYING!

I always LOVE to FLY!!!

Those my friends were BIG WORDS for Mariposa...

I'd also love to share with you the following poem, for the love of WORDS.

"A Jingle of Words"
by Elizabeth (Betty) Stam

Don't you love the common words
In usage all the time;
Words that paint a masterpiece;
Words that beat a rhyme,
Words that sing a melody,
Words that leap and run,
Words that sway a multitude,
Or stir the heart of one?

Don't you love the lively words--
Flicker, leap and flash,
Tumble, stumble, pitch and toss,
Dive, and dart and dash,
Scramble, pirouette and prance,
Hurtle, hurdle, fling,
Waddle, toddle, trot and dance,
Soar and snatch and swing?

Don't you love the lengthy words--
Subterranean,
Artificial, propagate,
Neapolitan,
Revelation, elevate,
Ambidextrous
Undenominational,
Simultaneous?

Don't you love the noisy words--
Clatter, pop and bang,
Scrape and creak and snarl and snort,
Crash and clash and clang,
Crackle, cackle, yowl and yap,
Snicker, snare and sneeze,
Screech and bellow, slash and howl,
Whistle, whine and wheeze?

Don't you love the colorful--
Amber, rose and gold,
Orchid, orange and cerise,
Crimson, emerald,
Purple, plum and lavender,
Peach and Prussian blue,
Turquoise matrix, jade and jet,
Hazel, honeydew?

Yes, with just the common words
In usage everywhere,
You can capture incidents
Beautiful and rare.
In words you have a weapon
More mighty than a gun;
You can say the multitude
Or stir the heart of one.

And finally...Happy Music Monday everyone....hope you love this one...for this is one of my favorites...Angel of of the Morning...and I love the kick of this version...though Olivia Newton's, Bonnie Tyler's as well as The Pretenders' were just as amazing!

There’ll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can find your heart
And there’s no need to take a stand
For it was I who choose to start
I see no need to take me home
I’m old enough to face the dawn

Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away from me

Maybe the sunlight will be dim
But it won’t matter anyhow
If morning’s echoes say we’ve sinned
Then it was what I wanted now
And if we’re victims of the night
I won’t be blinded by the light

Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning
Then slowly turn away from me

Baby baby baby

Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel

Many times I've felt like climbing up the wall but never in such a fun way as yours! Words are definitely among my favorite things - thank you for sharing some excellent choices. The poem would be great to read with kids.
Thank you for joining in our Fun Monday challenge!

Great post! Even if I had the guts to attempt wall climbing, I would not have the guts to post photos of it on my blog. Uhm, my bum is soooooo much bigger than yours and I do not need to draw any more attention to it than necessary! But your bum looks great up there (in a totally heterosexual way).
