So many things happened this week and I'm so glad that it's Thursday already and I managed to get this far with a grateful heart!
For some reasons I miss Word Filled Wednesday...but will make it up next week as I have been wanting to share some good news since last week!
I started my week ranting...my week (and IT guy's) just weren't exactly how we wanted it to be! But God is good and His justice rules and He had carried us through...so my heart rejoice and my soul is very grateful!
So many things to be thankful for --
♥ Mother's Day is coming and I cannot say any better here how grateful I am to have my Mom!
♥ I still don't have Internet at home...but still I'm grateful I'm able to find time to go my favorite coffeshop, Figaro and enjoy limited WiFi access.
♥ I am happy to announce that IT Guys issues at work has been sorted out!
♥ I am also thankful to all the people who believes in him and who has been so supportive all this time. I am also thankful to the members of the Council and to the Mayor for all the support.
♥ It is always nice to have good friends in times of trials...IT Guy and I, are so blessed to have Toy as a friend. Toy, your support and help will always be appreciated...we're so happy to have you as a friend.
♥ My career is just making me smile! I would love to talk more about it next week when everything hass been finalized...
And so many things to mention that I'm grateful for...as what Mom keeps telling me...miracles happen every day...every minute...we just have to pause to notice them!
I wish you all a blessed Thursday!
Please check Thankful Thursday

The Joy of Cooking!
They call it culinary arts...I say it's passion! Cooking as they say is like making love, you do it well, or you do not do it at all. Ha!
I have always find joy in cooking and there was a time when I used to spend most of my weekend at home trying out recipes. IT Guy shares this passion with me...so some of our weekends are escapades in the kitchen. Lately we have been a little aggressive in checking out cook books, magazines, TV shows and even culinary schools. Can you believe that?!
Looks like we have gotten serious with what seems to just be a hobby right? Well it's just that we realize culinary can be a promising career...either as a profession (employment) or for anything entreprenurial (business). You can check All Culinary Schools for interesting information about culinary. The site offers a wide range of information, from culinary career options to culinary schools! Just a great start for people who has passion for culinary and is still exploring their options.
Happy (not so) WORDful (less) Wednesday!

Please Let Me Rant!
I know I have been absent and now that I get hold of my blog...allow me to rant. I just find it deemed necessary to do so!
First off, my house has been without Internet for 8 days now! Can you imagine how I managed? Well, so far my site has just been experiencing some dehydration for the past days, not to mention how much I miss visiting you all!
If you recall I always have issues with my internet...since! What I cannot understand is how could they just give me their spiel every time I call that there is an ongoing system restoration?! Why can't they bother inform subscribers? Because these are random? Well...more than a week system restoration is just crazy don't you think?! So this is to call Globe's attention...please restore my service because I think what you are doing is denial of service! And it is so stupid for you to let me pay for my dial-up when the fact that I am on it is because you screwed up my DSL...and wait, your dial-up...it sucks...big time!
So I hope you finally get into your senses and do something...like actually DO SOMETHING!
Now to my next rant...and this thing has been giving me headache...for real!
Last Friday, was Labor's Day...so the long weekend afforded me and the IT Guy a short vacation. If only IT Guy's mood was not interrupted by some meaningless call from one of the member of the city council. I know I run the risk of them reading this...but guess what, I couldn't care less!
Background...
One of the many functions of IT Guy's department is creating specification on IT related requests....so this may be in a form a need to purchase laptops. Apparently, the city government planned to buy judges laptops...24 units at that. Now the IT Guy did the usual specs...and did an estimated cost per unit based on the defined specs. The specs were not the best in class nor outdated...yet one member of the council dropped the bomb and said something like IT Guy's department overpricing the laptops. Overpricing by operational definition only exist after an overvalued item is purchased. In which case...there is no overpricing yet because it was simply an estimated cost to see if the budget can accommodate it. Now if they find it too much all they need to do it ask the IT department for a lower specs, right?
What they did instead was went to the media...and the media ended up calling IT Guy and after about 5 minutes with him on the phone...they were able to come up with a full blown article saying IT Guy claimed the budget was coming the the requesting party which was one of the councilor's office! Arrgh!
Things got ugly from there...first of all, IT Guy was only explaining the generic process withstanding that particular transaction...fast forward today...another paper issued an article with a heading about IT Guy's department when in fact the article was to cater an interview of a councilor? Speaking of journalism...I wonder what is their definition of it by now! Add to that an incident which a reporter just barged in to his office...in a very confrontational and aggressive manner ending up giving threats. Wow! I wonder now if being in the media gives them a license to do those things...because coming from a private citizen, it appeared to me those actions not only out of order...simply an act of an uncivilized person.
IT Guy will be filing a written complaint against that person early morning tomorrow! As soon as he has done that, I will post a copy of that letter here...
So...that explains my headache!
On another note, I am happy to announce that I tendered my resignation from my current job last night...I have not given any commitment with any organization as of now, but I am evaluating offers! WOOT!
How's your week so far?! Not as bad as ours I hope!

Life Is Like A Landscape!
Remember my House to Home project? Well, I'm in still not done with it and I feel I still have a long way to go...
Today I'm checking the store for vases...I want to imagine how the place would look together with its decor and other accesory before we start the actual painting. I still have few more weeks to go for this project and I hope to finish it a week earlier. (((SIGH)))
Another ongoing home project I have is my garden. I just changed the grass last December and my yard is just turning green. It really pay well to have a nice garden...I always spend my morning sipping coffee staring at the greens! Now I am shopping around for a good landscape design. I saw several photos at Albuquerque Landscaping. I particularly like this pathway...so I am checking if I can have this at home.
It may cost to build one's garden yet if you choose an experienced landscaper it may be worth it in the long run. It may be pricey at the start but it will be worth it eventually as it is always a relief to have some green and a nice view at home. Another thing gardening teaches me many things, one is patience. My Dad always tell me that if you tend a garden you need a warm personality to let the pants bloom...and it is good to alter your landscape once in awhile to match the season...season of life I mean. For now I have some good news and I'm just waiting for something before I finally make a post on it...so that inspires me to work more on my landscape. After all life is like a landscape so they say, so I will work first on my pathway! LOL
Anyway, time for my Unconscious Mutterings!
