However it's been months now since I last visited the gym. My schedule is just crazy and I can't keep up my fitness program. I get off from work around 5-6 in the morning on a not so busy day. It was a delimna for me if I have to rush to the gymn after work and doze to sleep after or the other way around...yet how can I expect myself to do some routine exercise at the gym when just going there after work is already too much for me!
I quit the gymn.
But not my commitment to be fit.
There must be a way...and yes there is!
I made my own fitness program and had it checked with a gymn professional. I also visited a nutritionist. Though I'd say it was not I thought it would be as she told me that my diet is already fine except that I just need to take more water! Yikes! LOL
For most people who've seen me, they will think I'm a gymn buff or anorexic because I am just too minute for a 29 years old. LOL But hey, I eat ALOT (at home!) and I am too lazy to go to the gymn...and I go there for my cardio exercise more than anything. For me going to the gymn only lets me do a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starches into aches, pains, and cramps. So there the anti-gymn has spoken.
On the contrary, IT Guy is the gymn buff. But, he's got no time for it...and he claims it's all because of me! Pfft! Well late last year, I kind of feel guilty about it so I got him a treadmill. Yes...you read it right...a TREADMILL. He opted to have this thing placed at home since he is always here anyway. In turn, he got us an exercise ball which I love so much. It allows me to do some exercises while watching TV! How cool is that?
Therefore I say that we need not spend so much time going to the gym to be fit as we can do it in the privacy of our home. For instance just check online and we can find a wide variety of treadmills to choose from. I found this very useful which offers good treadmill reviews. You may want to visit and see a list of choices with corresponding price range. I'd say it is always best to shop around first before you do the actual purchase to get the best value.
So far IT Guy enjoys it...though nothing beats our jog every Sunday morning! ;)

As long as you are getting exercise that's what is important. At least I take my neighbors dog for a walk every day :) Aloha my friend

That's wonderful! I've been thinking of getting a treadmill as well. We just need space for one :)
I don't have a treadmill, but I have wonderful dvds, especially dance fitness dvds and those are the most fun for me!
but jogging outside in a park has its charm right??....
"no time" syndrome hits everyone..but key is to find time and do time management effectively!!:)
My latest favorite keeping fit activity is Hot Yoga ! I'm addicted to it.
