Living A Good, Having A Good Read!

PhotoHunt: BOOK(s)

Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience:
this is the ideal life.

~Mark Twain

I am a book lover and I collect books...to a point that I think I can build my own library! (I dream of owning a coffee shop with a library of wonderful books one day.) These books are my recent read...though some I've read them many times already. These books are scattered all over my bedroom...sometimes in my bed, bedside table, computer table or just any place where I happen to sit! You can see how varied my readings are...LOL

The road to knowledge begins
with the turn of the page.

This is from the book The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck. The first line is so striking that I my teen years pondering on this line -- "Life is difficult."

Life happened because I turned the pages.

~Alberto Manguel

And as I go through life...I realize the level of difficulty may vary and that it need not be difficult at all...we have to get acquainted with it...understand it and love it!

This is a quotation by Pere Hyacinthe Besson, from the book, Thoughts On...Being Happy, a collection of beautiful words and paintings by Helen Exley --

"Be gentle, patient, humble and courteous to all, but especially be gentle and patient with yourself. I think that many of your troubles arise from an exaggerated anxiety, a secret impatience with your own faults; and this restlessness, when once it has got possession of your mind, is the cause of numberless trifling faults, which worry you...I would have your honest in checking and correcting yourself, but at the same time patient under the consciousness of your frailty."

Search in the Lord's book of living
and read what it says.

Isaiah 34:16

And finally...my ultimate companion, the Bible.

This is rather quite a busy weekend for me and IT Guy..but I love the theme too much to miss it! More so, I'd love to see others BOOK(s). Let's visit PhotoHunt's HQ to see more!

Happy weekend everyone!

Our church runs a community cafe and I suggested that we have a secondhand-book stall in it! It's popular too.

I can identify with the second quote about 'impatience with your own faults' (can't remember the exact quote).
