Today We Remember...

...all the brave soldiers who gave their lives for our country in our own way...

It's quite a Monday for Mariposa today...and I'm posting ALL my Monday Fever activities late...they say better late than never, so here goes!

Manic Monday's theme this week is STAR, in celebration of Memorial Day. I'm not from the US, but I joined you guys in prayers for all men who had served...and are in military service. YOU are ALL STARS, not just today, but everyday. May God bless YOU all!

FUN Monday today is hosted by
Alison! This week theme is -

Vacations...this is the time of year when most of us go on vacations. Show us and/or tell us about your favorite vacation - where you went, what you did, etc. Pictures would be great. Let's all take a trip around a the world via our FM friends!!

Well, for those who had been reading my blogs, you already know that I've travelled alot...so this is a quite challenging theme for me.

So let me just link you to places I've been that I've blogged about. Sorry guys if this sounds like cheating...but I'm late...why reinvent the wheel?! LOL

My visit to
Machu Picchu was fantastic! Then I also love Jura National Park in France... The ever famous Taj Mahal was so beautiful...and them asking me to take off my shoes got the better of me! Sweden will always be a place I'd love to go back to... HongKong will never be overrated for me with the IT Guy around...

And finally, nothing beats the place of my Mom! I don't really have to go far to enjoy...just recently, I've had one of the greatest vacation I've had...nothing fancy...yet it allowed to try so many things! Truly one of my most
wonderful times!

I hope you are not too lazy to follow the links...there are picture and stories there...I swear! LOL

Hope you had fun clicking...

And finally...Monday will never be complete without Music! So here is my Music Monday entry... This is exactly how I feel...unwell...just a little unwell, a little impaired at times...but not crazy!

All day
Staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night
Hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for something
Hold on
I'm feeling like I'm headed for a
Breakdown
I don't know why
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know, right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Me
Talking to myself in public
Dodging glances on the train
I know
I know they've all been talking 'bout me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong
With me
Out of all the hours thinking
Somehow
I've lost my mind
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
I been talking in my sleep
Pretty soon they'll come to get me
Yeah, they're taking me away
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy I'm just a little impaired
I know, right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Hey, how I used to be
How I used to be, yeah
Well I'm just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be

Wow … you’ve certainly taken some lovely trips to places I’ve never been … and linking to your previous posts was an excellent strategy today. I’ve shared at Small Reflections today, using a few links of my own ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

Wow, girl, you do get around. I've travelled Europe, Asia and Central America, but never South America. Great pics!

I've combined travel, music and my groupie-like tendencies for today's post.

you are a world traveler. I don't suppose you need a nanny on your next trip. hmmm? (*:

I miss going to my mom's house. It was always a "trip" in time, yes?

Thanks for reminding us of todays true meaning. Yes. Blessings on all those men and women who served or serve.

Thanks for the round the world trip. It only took a few minutes and saved on gas. Well done.

Happy Memorial Day!

Wow. You have traveled a lot. I still want to go to the Philippines. Those pictures are so beautiful. I'll have to wear a lot of sunblock though.

Mariposa,

Thank you for paying tribute to the troops today.

I have read some about Douglas McArthur - how much the people of the Phillipines meant to him.

It seemed as though the people of your country loved him, and it was wonderful to see him be able to return to the Phillipines later - as he had promised.

Just want to say that I appreciate your remembering those who gave their lives - in service - in hopes of a better world - a more peaceful world.
