Fun Monday today is a bit hard for me...Nikki our wonderful host for this week asks any or both of the following -
1.) I don't know about you, but my family is great at creating strange words that only we know the meaning. Some were created when the kids were first learning to talk, others came about when our tongues were twisted and the word came out funny. Either way, the words stuck and we still use them in our daily conversations. What created words does your family use?! Please share the story behind the word if you remember. If you don't have a made up word then tell us about the unspoken way you communicate with someone. Do you and your significant other have a look that means "This party is boring, lets split" or do you have a look that your kids know means their butt is in serious trouble? Please share!! And a picture of the look would be very entertaining!
OR/AND
2.) In honor of St. Paddy's Day, please share your worst green beer story!
Honestly, this is quite hard since English, though widely spoken in my place, is not our first tongue! But I will give it a try....
March 15, 1995...my Aunt gave birth to a very cute baby girl...let's call her by her initial JM. Every time people visits her...people for some reason would always begin by saying...Hello JM....Hello Baby...now...not all people here gets to say that word properly...so some would say Halu Baby...Halu JM...and my GrandMa, whose hearing fluctuates at any given time heard this and asked...what's her name? Aloh?! We all laughed...and was saying...oh baby....are you Aloh?! So that's how JM's nickname was created. Up until now...we call her Baby Aloh...I wanted to post her baby photo and heck...got no time to scan...there was no digicam that time yet I guess!
Last Saturday was her birthday...sorry Baby, Ate got sick and missed your birthday...but I'm making it up...so, friends...the baby...is now a young lady...let me present to you...our Baby Aloh!
Manic Monday today is: DRINK

Baby Aloh - how wonderful!
that is so cute--Aloh. I call my little boy "bubba" as a nickname. kinda started by calling him baby or babe or a combination including bud/buddy maybe? not sure, but it came out as bubba. I am the only person who calls him that with the exception of my boyfriend, which I find endearing.
once spend 12 hours straight drinking green beer. I had one of those lovely greeen leprachan hats that you can't take off because they completely flatten your hair. didn't care by the end of it...so very drunk.
Cute Story for Aloh, and not a bad nickname, pretty in fact. It looks like Aloh is grow into the name very lovely.
