Robin (the Pensieve) is hosting this week's Fun Monday, and she ask for the following as theme -
"...please share words that inspire and motivate you--brief or bloviatory, silly or serious, from great world leaders to last night's Comedy Central...from a Hallmark greeting card to your favorite book. Choose one, choose many; let the quotes stand on their own or tell where you first read or heard them and how they affected you. There's a lot of leeway with how this topic can be handled."
I love this theme as I have been collecting quotes since I was young...yet, this does not come easy to me because I'm so tempted to list ALL that I have. :P
So, I will just go with my mood...This post is rather late for my time as it's already Monday 4:45PM here, yet today I just lack the inspiration to move.
I went to the salon and had my nails done...and I still don't feel better! Boooo! Those of you who have been coming here, especially every Monday, knows how animated and high I am every Monday...yet today is not just that. I think everything flips by tomorrow, or I'll have one gloomy week at the start of summer here...now how cool is that?!
So, for today, I'm sharing only one quote...but it has several lines... ;)
So here goes my FUN Monday entry!
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you NOT to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking
so that other people won't feel unsure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our own Light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
~Marianne Williamson
But my lack of will (sad, depression, down, etc) will not mean lack of will to blog...so to keep my Monday tradition, I'm doing Manic Monday and Music Monday as well!
Manic Monday today is "PULL".
That word for whatever reason radiates some positive energy to me just as the heat of the sun gives butterfly power to fly. So, Mo....for your Manic Monday theme, I would how inspiring...and what a shame I have to post it in times when I feel I'm pushed down...yet, how timely! I'm talking in riddles, I know.
Friends, allow me to let the song, my Music Monday below to PULL me out from whatever it is that is keeping me down today.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
When I feel afraid,
And think Ive lost my way.
Still, youre there right beside me.
Nothing will I fear
As long as you are near;
Please be near me to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
I will not forget
Your love for me and yet,
My heart forever is wandering.
Jesus by my guide,
And hold me to your side,
And I will love you to the end.
Nothing will I fear
As long as you are near;
Please be near me to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
And a light unto my path.
Youre the light unto my path.
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
When I feel afraid,
And think Ive lost my way.
Still, youre there right beside me.
Nothing will I fear
As long as you are near;
Please be near me to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
I will not forget
Your love for me and yet,
My heart forever is wandering.
Jesus by my guide,
And hold me to your side,
And I will love you to the end.
Nothing will I fear
As long as you are near;
Please be near me to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.
And a light unto my path.
Youre the light unto my path.

Thanks, Mari, for sharing the song. How comforting that God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. And when we feel afraid, and think we have lost our way, still God is there right beside us. Just what I need to hear today! Thanks. Keeping you in prayers. May you know God's love and presence with you in very special ways.
That was one fantastic quotation you share with us for Fun Monday.

I love the Marianne Williamson's words you shared today (it's one of my favorite excerpts from her work) and the song ... thanks so much!
Hugs and blessings,
How powerful for us to realize that as individuals we have a choice to tend toward our better, not worse, selves. The challenge is just to do it.
Hope you get out of your Monday slump.
This was in "Akeelah and the Bee," right? I love this quote...I need to write the entire thing down, though...
Great post! You are BUSY on a Monday!
Oooo... wasn't that the quote used in "Akeela and the Bee"? I remember sitting up in the theatre and having goosebumps racing up and down my arms. Very powerful stuff. Powerful ideas.
This is an amazing quote~ I've not read it before.
Your one quote is lovely. I remember seeing Marianne Williamson on Oprah many years ago. Thank you for adding the inspirational music video by Amy Grant...very nice. I hope that you feel better. Take care.
Well, darlin', I hope you're feelin' more like yourself soon :/.
This is a beautiful inclusion for Fun Monday today; if you're only going to list one, it's a doozie!
I figured you'd have a dozen or more listed, hehe, but this one? Dynamite in a small package.
Sending cyber hugs & prayers your way :).

WOW! That was a fabulous quote. And the song, I sang it in my mind as I read it. Michael W. Smith's voice.

that was beautiful, thank you.
You picked a quote I've been hearing a lot...at church, on podcasts...is someone trying to tell me something?
Dear Mariposa,
Hope you feel better! Actually, I sometimes think that a manicure and pedicure is one of the best wellness activities of all!
Susan
Summer already?
We don't have that here yet. It hasn't even reached 65.
What you need is someone to light some candles, make some cookies, give you a backrub, and make you a nice bubble bath.
I do love that song! What an uplifting post.
