Counting Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep)

I'm doing Fun Music Monday today, combining it with my list of things that I'm grateful for...now who says you can't have the best of both worlds, eh?!

This song is amazing...

Listening to this great song, let me count the things I'm grateful for...

(1) The fun I had last night in Wini's Christmas Party!
(2) The ability and the will which afforded me to do ARKs.
(3) A very restful sleep.
(4) Waking up early today!
(5) My migraine is gone, had it the whole day yesterday.
(6) The gift of wisdom who was speaking through me last night when they asked me to give the message last minute...

I never thought I could think of something meaningful to say with my migraine, but I all in all, I think I did great (so modest of me...LOL). I ended my short talk with these lines from Gladys Taber:

Christmas is a bridge.
We need bridges as the river of time flows past.
Today’s Christmas should mean creating happy hours for tomorrow and reliving those of yesterday.

(7) Gift of Chani, of Thailand Gal, her post Remembering Who We Are inspired me on what to talk about when I give another Christmas Message this coming week...

(8) Listening to this song feels so good!

(9) The nice red dress that Yummy gave me...(pictures soon!)

(10) The beautiful shawl that went to well with the dress...I bought that shawl weeks ago not knowing what really to do with it...and it came handy last night... ;)

(11) The sunny day!

(12) I was chasing some yellow butterflies at the garden today.

(13) You! My wonderful reader!

Here is the lyrics of the song, in case you want to see along with it -

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS (Instead of Sheep)

When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

What a nice post. So many times we dweel on the bad things, the things we don't have, or the things that go wrong in our life. We all should should remember the good things more, the things we are thankful are. Glad to hear your migraine is gone. (((HUGS)))

Wow.. neat post.. and I like your Christmas message. If you are being asked to give talks, it must be because your wisdom is recognized by your community. That is a wonderful thing! :)

Wonderful post, accentuated with one of the songs from one of my all time favorite movies (I can watch this one any time of year and feel good)! I'm so pleased you posted it to share today ;-)

I keep wanting to like "White Christmas," but I just don't. I'm not sure why. Probably because my dad forced me to watch it so many times. Regardless, I do like that song. I agree it's an excellent message. :-)
